I've been in Audio Heaven for the last few weeks ...wub
I've had this really nice sound system gathering dust for about 2 years...just never had the urge to hook it up.
Well, I got a GREAT deal on 5 Bose surround speakers...so I figured it was time to fire up the amp and check them out.
Imagine, if you will...300 watts of Dolby 5.1 surround in an area about 10 x 20 feet square...w00t
And this is hooked up to my computer, no less.lol
(This means I MUST mute it when on myLot...those talking ads could jump out at any time...)
But I have about 12,000 music files on my computer, and now they sound EXCELLENT!!!
...and this may just be a coincidence, but my neighbors are moving out...lol
How do you enjoy listening to music?

It sounds great. Like you I like VOLUME. Well most of the time anyway. A bit quieter for the romantic times, or when trying to get the kids down peacefully. My favorite is turned up in the car with the windows down wind blowing..BIG SMILE! [ersmommy1]

That sounds perfect! If I can't listen to it loud then I would rather not listen to it at all and as a lot of what I prefer to listen to has drum solos in it, I have to wait until the neighbours are out here doh It's ok in the summer cos I can open the windows and no-one bothers but it's toocold to do that in the winter. My neighbours wouldn't move - they would band together and get me to move out! whistle [mysdianait]

I like my music loud sometimes. if I am listening to Easy Listening then it doesn't have to be loud but if I am listening to The Doors or Deep Purple or some group like that the louder the better [fwidman]

Hey Lamby! I love to blast my music and I don't give a crap how my neighbors feel about! I wish they all would move the hell out anyway! When I am in the "music mood" and I feel like playing my music I just don't give a damn and I turn it way up! And depending on what I'm playing, it depends on how high the volume goes! If it is hard rock, like Zepplin or Pink Floyd or some other rock stuff, forget it! And if it is some music like Beyonce, or Keisha Cole that I like to get down and dance to, again forget it! I will play it a really loud volume! And I will try to sing to it too and my voice is so off key and raspy from all the years of smoking and yelling they are lucky they can't hear me! I have a sound system, nothing like yours though. I listen to my music on my trusty Sony MP3 so I don't have to share and I can have it as loud as I want and the sound is pretty good, not that I can compare it with your set up! You've got it! Loud music is the only way to go. Isn't it strange that you can take an AMAZING song, turn it down low and then it just doesn't feel the same? There's something about being able to feel the bass and getting lost in the song. It's a great feeling. For me, it relieves a lot of stress and really makes my day a lot better. It's a great thing to do right before work or doing something that is going to stress me out. It's like a confidence booster :) [abeja_reina_1989]

I love it loud too! I have to put my headphones on in order to hear it loud though... my built in speaker on my laptop isn't all that loud. I can hear it.. but it's not the same as hearing it in stereo. I love my TV loud enough for me to hear it.. but thing is my daughter says it is too loud for her... I love it loud too, but even my wife complains, so I use the earphones now. It's not the same though and I often miss phone calls and knocks at the door. But I do miss a lot of the nagging also. [Hair_of_the_Dog]
Cool, that sounds awesome! My wife has some big speakers hooked up to her computer and she loves to get it pumping every now and then. I like it loud but not too loud. It has to be loud so I can feel the beat in my being, it has to be a part of me. My speakers are carp so it can't be too loud because the sound just distorts. I have a neighbour too. She is an old battleaxe and complains about my TV being too loud for gosh sakes...I'm on a huge block and there is room almost for another house on the Land between my lounge room where the TV and stereo is and her bedroom and I keep my windows shut.
