I wonder if everyone here is as BAD as me when it comes to singing LOL. I am really awful i tell you. Well, perhaps not as bad as i think, but nothing brilliant at all. And it's a pity because i love music and i love to sing. I like to sing, specially when i'm home alone, in the shower, or simply hanging out at home alone listening to music.

Hi LightningStrike! I think I am worse singer than you are and probably here in this planet! I remember when I was in my college days, we were having a christmas party and my professor asked me to sing the first lines of a christmas carol...I begged off naturally telling them I am really off-key but they insisted so I did sing the first few lines but was not able to do so because after just one line, my classmates were all laughing...and since then, there is still no improvement in my singing even though I do like to sing.LOL! have a nice day! I love to sing. Usually I prefer not to sing solo. My voice is good for choir and because my hearing is very good I don't get out of tune no matter what kind of different notes are sung around me. I was part of the choir in high school, university and later on the choir at work. We went to many places both in Portugal and abroad and it was some of the best times ever :) I like to sing in the choir because as you sing you feel like all voices are coming from you as well and that your voice is coming from the other people as well- Ok so I"m a bit strange LOL I sing alone sometimes as well, but really prefer the togetherness of the choir:) [arkaf61]

Oh, I think I would be the worst to sing. I don't sing because my singing is pathetic.LOL I can't even carry a decent tune. I get really uncomfortable whenever there is a gathering and there is a karaoke and everyone is enjoying their singing. I would always pass and never let them know how I sing. I think I can sing pretty well. Though I can't reach super high pitch but at least I can stay in tune pretty well. I love singing since I was a kid and even perform for small family parties and gathering. Singing is like an outlet for me. It takes away my boredom. [jhanna]

Anyways, I don't sing in the shower, I only do it using the videoke, singing with a song while it's playing, or I do it acapella. I can't sing at all and I realized that when I grew up. This is because my sister recored my terrible singing. Oh, it was really awful. I admit I am tone deaf. I was so shocked to hear the recording of my very bad singing that I never sung again for pleasure. When teaching I have to sing sometimes but do it as quietly as possible so nobody can hear how awful it is. One year I had a boy in my class that was an excellent singer. I always stood next to him in music lessons. His singing was perfect and so loud it drowned out my awful singing. [maximax8]

I have been in the church choir of our catholic church and later also in the Baptist church so I have been quite a good singer then. Unfortunately my voice also has suffered due to an inflammation and due to numerous colds and today I am average in singing but not good any more. I can sing wonderfully... when the music is turned up really loud and no one can hear me. I am really not awful but I know I am really not a great singer. I know I sing better then my mother because my nephews still ask me to sing them a song before they go to sleep and she was told "please stop singing you are way off key."
