Well for it is ok , after all it is just for this month only , isn't it a romantic month [Sir_bobby88]
It's not Christmas yet. But you should understand that Christmas is a very special moments. It gives joy, hope, and peace of mind. I think that's the reason why played the Christmas songs all the time. They want Christmas to come soon. Anyway, Christmas songs are beautiful songs. I think you should try to enjoy listening them. [nawanta]
Yes I couldnt agree with you more .I like these songs too but when it comes to christmas ,all they play is christmas music and it gets monotonous fast .I wish they would play a mix or music around this time and here on the island they play a certain set pf songsand that makes it even more monotonous [ronnyb]
We were in ASDA tonight, and no christmas songs at all, which was great. ASDA is quite good because they have their own station and most nights they have stuff in the charts on the radio. I am not really into xmas songs at all. [vonmac]
I know where to shop now then it has to be Asda,we have an Asda here and i am sick of hearing the tinny sounding christmas songs. [jugsjugs]
I have downloaded christmas songs starting the month of november because my cds last year has gone. My kids love hearing christmas songs that is why i make an effort to download songs. [xannebull]
I do not mind hearing them a week before christmas, but i hate them miles before christmas as by the time christmas gets here they are getting boring. [jugsjugs]
I know what you mean they start earlier and earlier each year. They started before Thanksgiving which is crazy. You can't wait till the day after to start playing them on the radio? [lelin1123]
It gets to the stage that they are being played miles before christmas gets here and they are always the same old songs repeated on the radio as well as in the shops. [jugsjugs]
I agree with you, especially because they are the same Christmas songs, played year after year, after year. The same traditional Christmas songs that we heard 50 years ago. I'm like you...I cringe when I hear them every year. [Sweetchariot]
Amen and thank you. I started hearing Christmas music before Thanksgiving and wondered why we had to start so early. I don't mind the music but I really only like it during Christmas eve and Christmas day. I mean. I just want to hear music that isn't Holiday Music during this time! If they want music all the time for this year, just create a new station for a month and be done with it. [k1tten]
that's the difference between you and me. me, I don't believe in Christmas because even the Catholic Church admits that Dec. 25 is not the real birthday of Jesus Vhrist, but still celebrates it! Christmas has become so commercialized that evrything about it's celebration is about money thereby forgetting the real celebrator of the event- Christ. Have you ever wondered why Christ is sometimes pulled out of his birthday by putting an X before MAS(XMAS) instead of CHRIST(CHRISTMAS)? Also, it sure is not Dec. 25 when Christ was born. This is proved by different encyclopedias and works. [dens61]
There are a few radio stations that play Christmas music starting the day after Thanksgiving all the way up until Christmas day after. I need some regular music too so I'll listen for a while but then I'm back to my Christmas favorite, i.e. Heavy Metal! [gitfiddleplayer]
Well, you probably won't get any until after the first of the year. I have actually been waiting for them to start. I enjoy the songs every year. Like Nat King Cole and Perry Como but then, I am an old fart that enjoys that sort of thing. I would get tired of it constantly though. [celticeagle]
And cheeriest of cheers back at ya! [celticeagle]
HEck its Christmas time so its normal for this time of year! [Lakota12]
of course as there really arent all that many and I dont think I have heard a new one in along long time! [Lakota12]
Good luck finding some. At this time of the year even many radio stations switch to Christmas music. I think it is a subtle way to get us to think about shopping and spending money. [jillmalitz]
As well as donating to all the charitys. [jugsjugs]
I don't mind because Christmas is only once in a year and this is the only time the songs will be on air and playing in every corner of the shops. It's the spirit. After 25th, you will be hearing the normal every day music again. So, cheers! happy [corrycrystal]
I can not wait until they stop playing it. [jugsjugs]
There is a alternative way to solve this promblem. Stay in China these days. But make sure you won't still be there when Chinese New Year comes near. [kosmosas]
Lol sounds good, but i can not afford to get there. [jugsjugs]
i don't like christmas songs, they're always the same and you always get some actor or something that does a stupid one for charity [doormouse]
I just think they start playing all the christmas music alot earlier than they need to as by christmas i am sick of hearing them. [jugsjugs]
You need to invest in an ipod their great to have when your shopping. This way you can listen to your own music. Just plug it into your ears, crank it up and you are in lala land. Who doesn't like Christmas music it only plays for one month, Hello. Well the best of luck to you and X-mas shopping. [sherric1222]
I took my ipod in a shop and it took a friend to clap in my face to get my attention as i could not hear her,she said she could hear the music on my ipod with it in my ears so she knew i had it up loud. [jugsjugs]
well really it is just for a month, do not worry about what you cannot control in life because that only makes you miserable. In life one needs tolerance and endurance in order to live peacefully with all. It will pass. [priscy25]
Thanks for your response [jugsjugs]
I like Christmas songs, but not when it's playing everywhere 24/7 (or so it seems!). And then when you're not anywhere where music is being played, one of those songs gets stuck in your head and you can't stop thinking of it - ha ha. It drives me batty when everyone is getting ready for the holidays way too early . . . when I'm not "in the mood" yet! [much2say]
I think they do tend to start playing all the music way too early as they could at least wait until it is closer to the time to start playing the christmas music. [jugsjugs]
I love Christmas songs because they give me so much joy and hope. I wish everyday is Christmas because it is a season when happiness and love abound. [blestrella]
Thanks for your response [jugsjugs]
The radio station my husband works at only plays two Christmas tunes an hour and the rest of the music is Country tunes. I know we have one station who plays nothing but Christmas music and they have started on Thanksgiving Day. I do not understand why there are stations that insist on playing Christmas music all the time. I think it is ok to play one or two songs and then play a lot more Christmas songs the week of Christmas. [randylovesdar]
I do not mind Christmas songs as long as they did not repeat the same song that they played an hour before hand as well as no other types of music. [jugsjugs]
I'll tell you what's really weird abour me. I love Chistmas music during the Christmas season, but, the day after Christmas, if I hear ANY Christmas music I get sooooo depressed. It's funny, but, that's how it is with me. Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija [kellyjeanne]
I know what you are saying as i feel that christmas is over as soon as christmas day is over for me as well. [jugsjugs]
Hiya jugs, Love Christmas Carols but I cannot put them on a lot here as they don´t like them in this House so I put them on when no one is here and that is not very often. Failing that I put my Radio/Cassette on and plug in the earphones and away I go. [lovinangelsinstead21]
I wish that they would vary the types of christmas music as well as put other regular songs on inbetween the christmas songs. [jugsjugs]
Hi Jugs, Just enjoy it. Don't be irate of listening to all these christmas songs around. Two more weeks and it will be back to the regular sounds and songs. Just bear with it. It only happen once a year for about two months and the rest of the year the regular sounds and songs. [msfrancisco9369]
i can feel how irate and bored are you hearing the same songs all the time. just enjoy it friend. we can't do anything about it-- we have limited christmas songs here. or you can just switch off your radio to lessen your stress for hearing these type of music LOL or just make yourself busy and focus attention to something else that you will not be bothered listening to these songs! [msfrancisco9369]
Christmas music. What blah!!! Okay, I'm with you here. Which seems to be the general reaction to your topic. I used to work in a small office and my boss would start playing Christmas music in the office the day after thanksgiving! If I had a dollar for everytime I asked this man to please turn off the Christmas Music. Christmas for me is not a good time of year. My father past two days before Christmas, at my home, in my new house, the first year I was hosting Christmas. I mean seriously, I truly have never gotten over it. A little christmas music a day - but after that please ... I mean do we have to have it in the elevators and the restrooms... Don't get me wrong here. I like christmas, I believe in God as my savior but Christmas music 24/7 will drive anyone insane. After all its not about presents and trees - its about whom and why and faith. So, lets give everyone a little peace and good well and not start the Christmas Music until at least December 1!. [jkcokley]
Sorry about that i was reading a reply and ended up on the wrong discussion,i think christmas music tends to grate on people as they seem to play it all the time as well as it is always the same old songs. [jugsjugs]

I actually don't mind that there is Christmas music being played everywhere that you turn during this time of the year because it is actually the right season for the Christmas music to be played during. What drives me insane is when they start playing Christmas music prior to the last Friday in November. That to me is just too soon to start playing holiday music. Christmas music is really one of the things that helps me to really feel like the holidays are coming. [dorannmwin]
The music or should i say the songs that they keep playing are all the christmas number ones so they are the same old songs by the same old artists where as there are alot of other songs that they can play. [jugsjugs]
Would you be OK with Christmas music being played out of season along with normal every day music? [6precious102]
No i would not.I think that a week before christmas is early enough to be playing the christmas carols. [jugsjugs]
I love listening to Christmas music. My favorite songs are the traditional ones such as Frosty, Ruldolph, Jingle Bells and Rocking Around the Christmas Tree. The other day I was listening to the song Bring Him Home, Santa. It is a sad song. A little girl (she is six) writes Santa a letter saying the one gift she wants more than anything is for her dad to come home (he is in the war). Every time I hear it I cry. [randylovesdar]
Now they are the songs that i have not hear yet,i would not mind if they played a selection, but they do not. [jugsjugs]
Hi, jugsjugs. Yes, the songs are playing really early than usual. That is how the Big DM is too. They play Christmas songs all day. I am like can't they play another song??? So, with me, I will just turn the radio off or I will put my CD in my CD player and listen to what I would like to hear. I can be a bit annoying. They play Christmas songs all day long. And I don't want to hear them all day even if I am in the Christmas, holiday spirit. [cream97]
I know what you mean as it seem like the christmas music is every where in all the shops as well as the tv and the radio. [jugsjugs]
I like christmas music around the holidays but after a while, it gets on my nerves too when they play the same old songs over and over again. that is what gets on my nerves. [stephcjh]
Oh yes i must agree where as they could at least like play one Christmas song and then a song that is nothing to do with christmas as that would be nice for everyone as well.I think that they play the songs miles before Christmas as when Christmas gets here we are sick to death of hearing them as well. [jugsjugs]
i love hearing christmas music about. its a nice change from all the rap and hip-hop crap thats usually playing. at the end of the day if you don't like them then switch the radio channel or listen to an mp3/cd player when in shops. [NatashaBird]
Thanks for your response. [jugsjugs]
There is one cute song I was listening to this year. The song is called A Box of Rocks by The Song Trust it is an Indie (independent). It is a young girl who is telling Santa to bring her brother a box of rocks because her brother is bothering her. Her brother pulls her hair. It is a cute song. [randylovesdar]
It is nice when they put new songs on at Christmas as i think that they seem to play the same old songs every year and keep repeating them all the time. [jugsjugs]
I know what you mean. my husband and I listen to a lot of foreign radio, for this exact reason. a) The Christas songs they play are different, or the ones we know but in their own language, and that makes them interesting b) they play a nice combination of Christmas songs and their own every-day music. [danishcanadian]
That sounds like a great idea perhaps i will have a listen to some other radio stations, thanks for that. [jugsjugs]
I LOVE Christmas music and could listen to it much longer than it is played on the radio. I have probably 30 cd's that I play constantly when I am at home and from a wide variety of artists, including some that are not famous groups or artists. On a recent trip to the Kroger store they had some for $5 each from famous singers that I bought 8 of, just because I knew who the singers were! All but one was fantastic!! [idowrite72]
Thanks for your response,it is nice if you like all the different songs, but when they are playing all of the same songs as well as on the radio as well as in pubs it gets a bit boring for me. [jugsjugs]
I like Christmas songs, but it seems like the radio plays the same ones over and over again. Overall, I enjoy them. [Picquarian]
