I prefer listening to CD's as I know what songs are going to be on, I dont like listening to all the adverts on the radio station. If they had a radio station with out all the adverts that would be great!!
I often flick through the music channel just to see what songs are playing, I enjoy the countdown ones - 100 best love songs, best RnB songs stuff like that as they range from various years and some songs bring back happy memeries.

I love all music, sometimes I put 3 cds into my stereo so I know I have about 3 good hours of varied music. I do enjoy the radio if you download itunes onto your computer you will find quite a few channels that are nonstop and don't have any adverts in between. Sometimes I don't mind it but others I just like a constant stream of tunes. I have always enjoyed MTV or Vh1 or whatever, I just love music. It's also nice making mix tape style cd's of all the good songs from your life or as a present to someone. ~cuteek~ [cuteek]
I actually like the opposite. I like listening to the radio since I like the element of surprise, what next song the station will play. I love internet radio since you can listen to the radio in any country. I hope the draconian DMCA law will not prevail anywhere [minkx8]
i like to music in any form . be it radio , my cd's , my mp3 player anything. I can listen to music 24/7 non stop. Generally i listen to radio because its fun. They play great music and also some contests in which you get nice prizes. If i am going out for a walk then i make sure i have my mp3 in my pocket. ~pinks~ [itsmepinky]

I listen to Sirius satellite radio as there are no ads on the music channels there. I have a bit of a different musical taste from most, so I also listen to a lot of internet radio that caters to my my musical tastes. [inked4life]
I prefer listening to CD's because like you I know what songs are going to be playing, and I know that I will like them all. The radio is ok but a lot of the times there are too many adverts like you said and a lot of the time there are no good songs playing. Music channels are ok because of the same thing. [o2bnocn]

I listen to sirus radio. You can listen to music for hours and hear no commercials. I also listen to xm radio on my tv. You always hear what you want to. I listen to rap and hip hop you can't get that on regular radio or tv. Unless you watch bet or something [mandilyn25]
I like listening to my cds too because there are no adverts or breaks, unless it is a cd where I have to keep flipping through the songs because some I do not like! I do listen to the radio as I like radio 1, they have no adverts and some of the djs are really funny. I agree with you. I mean even though I download all my cds onto my computer and I just play my itunes. And I usually have it on shuffle so I can get all different types of music that I enjoy. The radio usually annoys me because they're always playing the same song over and over again, and sometimes I just get tired of hearing them. The only good thing about the radio is you can hear the new songs that you may not have heard yet or purchased yet. [thuynhu]

I am a radio person. I love listening to the radio while riding in the car. I do not mind the commercials. I kinda look forward to them. What I love most about listening to the radio is the different artists instead of the same one with a CD. I like Classic Rock songs. [sherrir101]

Every morning, I'm listening to the radio in my car along the way to my work place. I prefer listening to the radio because I will know that news, the new songs and the discussion from everyone in my country. I also can learn something from the radio channel. That's nice. I like listen to the music. So, if I heard which song is nice from the radio, I will go to buy the CD's. Beside that, I don't like to watch the music channels. for me music channels are the best to hang with ... but i got the same problem as you i hate the ads in between. but i also listen to cd's but i tend to listen to onbly one or two songs at most then i switch off and go back to whatever i am doing. I prefer listening to CD's that I have put together myself from favorite songs off of my collection of CD's that way I'm listening to songs I chose. Sometimes I want to listen to a certain type of music from different artists and other times I want to listen to different songs from the same artist depending on my mood and putting together my CD's was a perfect solution. I hardly ever watch music channels on tv. I do like to listen to the radio though. We have several channels with no commercials at all. I like those the best. There are some programmes that I like particularly well and i try to listen to those. But mostly I will listen to CDs or music on my laptop. [teison2]
I much prefer to listen to music on Itunes on my computer, I have all my cds loaded into Itunes so it's so easy to mix and match, shuffle and play albums from a touch of the button, then I can download them onto my Ipod. I agree with you about advertisements - they often take 10 minutes! I like doing the I-Pod thing, but if I'm ever unfortunate enough to be without mine, I don't even go for music radio. I will turn on talk radio and catch up on some news. I absolutely despise almost all music these days - no substance, all novelty (yeah Ms. Underwood, you're really going to take your Louisville Slugger to both headlights - I believe ya ::rolls eyes::) - that kind of crap makes me sick, when someone just says to the pretty girl "Here's some garbage, sing it, but kind of pout your lips a little" lol It's great when some new music comes to the forefront that actually involves talent and passion. It just doesn't seem to happen a whole lot - it's basically "Top 40" radio in America, unfortunately. If I am looking for music, I will not turn on the radio at all. Cds are my only source. The element of surprise can be easily arranged by inserting a few cds and jumbling their play order. IMHO, radio deejays talk too much but share so little these days. The only time I would turn on the radio is if I want jazz in the deep of the night. Our jazz/classical station is non-stop playing and the deejays speak very softly and keep their speeches short and concise. [catmint]
