I know most violinist were trained since infancy but i'm really fascinated with this instrument because it can be used for all kinds of emotions, It can be adapted to all genres and I love the adrenaline rush when its played very fast. I really found it very interesting. Its so epic when its used for Gothic rock and symphonic rock. I can feel the intensity when its used for electronica. I feel the sadness when its used for a sad song. It can be also romantic when its used for a ballad.

Thanks for lifting my spirit about this because learning this music instrument means something for me. Its really important to me. [albertwhisker]
my training manager was 65 when he sat for his 1st level piano exams .. i am 38 and have decided to learn guitar this year ... so go ahead .. do it if you want it , nothing is lost [sanjana_aslam]
Now I feel younger, if a 65 year old can do it, a 24 year old maybe can [albertwhisker]
Is never too late for anything, if you feel all the emotions you mentioned, you really should do it. I admire people who do things like that, they believe in something and just go and do it against all odds. Violin is good instrument to learn I'm sure you will enjoy it. [timasma]
I really love how the violin can be the ying or the yang. It can be dark and haunting and it could be bright and happy. [albertwhisker]
I don't think it's ever too late to learn anything new. [sk66rc]
I like to hear violin music,I wanted to learn to play one.I'm not sure if it would be easy or not.I've been listening to classical music alot lately and I like to hear the violin. It looks hard to play, then I think if I want to learn,I would have to buy one,I think they're high up in price. [Java09]
Based on what I see most violin schools have kids as students, I never seen a violin school for adults. [albertwhisker]
make's dreams come true is better than become a dreamer [kibagus]
Absolutely not. I was 30 when I learned to play guitar, and 34 when I started playing piano. If you want to put your deserved time into it, you can do it. [chrystaltears]
I'm already 24 and I'll be 25 in June, I really wanted to learn playing an instrument so I can put melodies to the songs I had written. [albertwhisker]
i personally think you still can be able to learn how to play violin....it's never too late once your have the interest in to doing something....it probably required a lot of time, effort and dedication to be good at it...so good luck. [DOLLYBABY]
I really hope its not yet too late but for sure I wont be as good as those people who does it since infancy, [albertwhisker]
If all your fingers still work, and you still have your hearing, then the answer is no, its not to late. [pooh545]
you are not the only adult, there are a lot of people your age and even my age who have made up their mines to do some of the things they always wanted to do or try, but keep putting it off for what ever reason, and they just went and did it. weather they continue with it or not, at lease they gave it a try, and have peace of mind. [pooh545]
It is never never never too late to learn something new! It may be easier for a child to learn how to play the violin, but that should not stop you from giving it a try. Even if you never have a career as a professional musician, that does not mean it will not be a rewarding experience for you. I say go for it! [loved1]
Most violin schools have kids as a students, I think its going to be awkward to be the only adult students surrounded by some little pros. I really dont know if its gonna work for me but i'm willing to swallow my pride just to learn it. [albertwhisker]
No, it's not too late, you're always alive today so nothing is too late. ^^ [sushie93]
Maybe it's true i don't know but you can try it once to be sure ^^. [sushie93]
It is never to late to do whatever you want! If you want to do something then go do it! If people stopped certain things at certain times in their life then people would have nothing to strive for! You go learn that violen!!!!! [13tyates]
Even its embarrasing to be a lone adult student in a violin school, I would try to endure that despite of the fact kinda hate kids. [albertwhisker]
No I don't think you are ever too late to learn anything life as long as you have the desire to do so. I'm sure there are many talented musicians out there who didn't take up playing an instrument until they were adults. I wish you luck in learning to play the violin. [tabbycat]
I want to have the late bloomer success story when it comes to playing instruments, I never had a chance to learn as a kid because my parents were not interested in music and they were not supportive about it. [albertwhisker]
hello, let me tell you one thing i love to listen the sound of a violin some times it seems to cry it is a wonderfull instrument. if you love this intrument and if you whant to learn how to play violin then you must learn because in my opinion its never to late to do the things we love so if you have the chance to learn so go for it because it seams that you raely love this. good luck [ALEXFDR]
I'm looking forward seeing my self performing it someday. [albertwhisker]
I"m more than twice your age and I'm thinking of learning to play piano (at least a little). No, I don't think you're too old. [dawnald]
thanks for making me realized that its not yet too late and age wont be ruining it. [albertwhisker]
I do so agree with what you said about the violin. It is a great instrument and can be very dramatic and romantic. There is a show I watch on television that has a theme song with violins. It is very poignant, very nice. I think people can learn at any age. They just have to want to. [celticeagle]
And I like the electric ones too. [celticeagle]
No, I think it is easier for children to learn to play instruments, but I certainly don't think it is too late to learn if you really want to . You will need time to practice, but I see no reason why you could not learnt to play it. I don't beleive we are ever to old to learn anything. I once saw an article where a 74 year old man graduated from law school and began practicing law. If he can do that then you can certainly learn to play the violin. [ladym33]
I really like the very epic sound of the violin thats why I have the desire to learn playing it. Its can be dark and it can be uplifting. [albertwhisker]
I say go for it. Its never to late to learn anything. The violin is a beautiful instrument and the sounds that come from it can vary so. My of my favorite violinist is Miri Ben Ari - she is dubbed the "hip hop" violinist. She collaborates with musicians and plays her violin beautifully in the background of each song. If you have never heard her please look her up, she is awesome! [warmweatherwoman]
I love the versatility of the violin because it can sound classic and modern, you can use it to any genre of music and it can represent all types of emotion you could ever imagined. That makes me interested of it. [albertwhisker]
...Hi albertwhisker, If you really want to learn how to play, go and get the instrument, make sure it is tuned properly, find yourself a teacher, sign up for lessons and get going. I think the violin is a beautiful sounding instrument. It would make you feel so proud of yourself if you learned how to play it. I was watching the Olympices on Friday night with the opening ceremonies, they had several people who were playing the violin, some played it like a fiddle, but it was quite a show of talent. So let us hear from you, once you have played your first viokin solo. Take care and good luck. [artistry]
There might be chances I can still learn it buty I dont know If I can compete wi9th those people who were doing it since infancy, I have a lot of catching up to do. [albertwhisker]
my siblings and i had piano lessons as kids but after several teachers, none of us ever graduated from the exercise books. none of us were really interested. it was my father's dream, not ours. my parents can sing. fortunately, the musical gene sprouted among my nieces and nephews and the piano which has been silent for decades is now in my brother's house. he used to play the guitar, piano and accordion until his teens but his son learned to play the piano by ear on his own and i'm really glad it would help develop his talent instead of wasting away (the piano and his talent). your fascination with the violin is really intense, you can appreciate it in all forms, so i think you can learn it because your interest and vision of playing it personally will keep you going. hmm, i wonder if it's not too late to learn how to ride a bike at my age? [binggaling]
No, there is no late thing when it comes to learning. You need to find the trainer that's it for that. Find some braod minded trainer and you're all set to learn violin. i plan to learn that as well but not now, when i want some peace i want to learn to play music. [starscream]
It's not too late actually Albert. There's never to late in this world. In fact, living here on earth is simply a learning process..so you can definitely learn how to play the violin if you just want to. If the willingness to learn is there, then nothing is really impossible. [joannaleed]
I would like to think that it's not yet too late because I want to learn to play the violin too! I play the guitar and the piano, but the violin evokes something that the two others can't quite capture entirely. You are right, in many genres the use of the violin is very effective. I just don't have time to devote to learning it right now, but hopefully no matter what age we can still learn to play this instrument. [verabear]
I love the intensity and the adrenaline rush of the violins. [albertwhisker]
i too agree that it's never late to learn anything! even i started learning to play the guitar a little over a year ago(after christmas of 2008, to be precise). and i'm learning to play it on my own with the help of internet lessons mostly. i've improved quite a lot. so i'd like to encourage you to learn how to play violin if you are really interested. it's never too late. [junil_jk]
If you have the desire to learn, and the heart to keep it up, then it is NEVER too late to learn anything in my mind Yes, the time it takes for you to fully acquaint yourself with all the ins and outs of a violin may be longer than it would take for a child (since their minds can learn at a faster rate), as long as you practise and stick to it, you will get good at it in the end.happy [MrKennedy]
every time is best for learning anything if you are really serious about what you have to learn!!!! and violin is something that can be learned anytime anywhere without troubles!!! only you have to be sincere with your learning!!! [niravt4]
No talent is too late to be acquired. As we hesitate on on this a day has already passed.A valuable 24 hours. As life itself is nothing but a learning process I think that one can learn anything at any stage of the life. And it is a personal choice too.So go ahead and enjoy learning. [balasri]
