One very powerful strong tear jerker for me is Madonna's frozen, that always brings a tear to my eyes, because of the wonderful lyrics and they really really hit home because they describe me totally! And it's so true of me and I can relate to it, because I can relate to it it makes me even more sad because it's like the song was dedicated to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qg2ZBzJbM0M By the way your song was great and it was strange to have Shrek 3 beside it? Was it really from that film LOL! [wolfie34]
yup.... frozen is too good. I felt sad though not crying but sad when I heard the song [anuraa30]
Yep, Neil Diamond's "The Story of My Life," affects me everytime I hear it. Another is "My Sweet Lady," a song that caused me to cut short a trip to Saint Thomas some years ago when I heard it at an "underwater bar." The words made me so long for my "Foxy Lady I," my original wire haired fox terrier, that I cut my trip to Saint Thomas short by seven days. I guess we all have soft spots. It's a matter of finding them, and sometimes a song does it. Memo to self: Don't start singing the blues, RJ. Nobody wants to hear that garbage. (C) 2008 RJScott [rjscott]
Great answer Doll Gave me a snicker I love animal people! You are my kid of folks! xoxoxoxoxoxo [raydene]
Yes, raydene, there are songs that made me cry. How about Gabrielle's "Latchkey kid" or "Fallen Angel"? Also, Nicolle Mullen's "I Am", and many other songs by her. These two artists always have beautiful songs and they make me cry when I'm sad. I'm sure you could find their music on youtube, too. Thank you for your question, and have a nice day. Pablo [callarse1]
I am find some new music with this discussion and most of which I am enjoying alot! Thanks for those suggested.. I found them on limewire and now have them on my media music player.. oxxooxxoxoxo [raydene]
Yes, I already lost count of them. Although, as I have responded in one of the discussions here, there are no actual tears. I cry. Inside. The most recent song that touched me was "Dancing with the angels" by Monk&Neagle. It's for parting with a loved one. Try it sometime:D [augustine87]
I will check it out Doll And crying tears isn't bad I kinda think it's good for us at times.. xoxoxoxoxoxo [raydene]
Thank you so much for sharing, that was absolutely beautiful. I also sent it to mom & she loved it to, so much that she's ordering the CD with that song on it from Borders..Thanks again Raydene...Lori [dumblnddzzy]

he song i listen to that really bring tears to my eyes and spurs emotion in me is the one done by Eric Clapton in the 10990s,"tears in Heaven"the song was about the loss of his son and it came out incidentally at a time i lost my nephew to the cold hands of death,so yes this song brings tears to my eyes and i still play it even to this day. [BYOLA2871]
yes Eric Clapton is one of the best in his genre of music and i have been his fan for as long as i can remember ,my father loves his songs and actually have a collection of his greatest hits [BYOLA2871]
This happens to me many times when I listen to some of my favorite arias. I get goosebumps as well. [whiteheather39]
That Man Car video was short (??) but very funny. BTW the youtube link you gave was really nice and did you notice it had almost 2 millions hits? [whiteheather39]
That was great. It is one of my favorite songs and this rendition was exceptional. I have enjoyed Rufus Wainwright's rendition and have heard many others that paled in comparison until I listened to this performance. One song that always brings tears to my eyes is by Josh Groban, To Where You Are. It reminds me so much of my dear friend who is no longer with us. My eyes fill with tears even as I am typing this. [ElusiveButterfly]
I love his You Raise Me Up also ...He is very good. I loved Josh Grogan since hearing him in the fellowship movies. oxxoxoxoxoxoxo [raydene]
My speakers arent working boo hoo but I am emotional right now and anytime I hear a song about a little girl I cry cause I so want a little girl. [minnie_98214]
Awww thanks but yeah I think ill take my chances on this one lol. Teenager not what I need. [minnie_98214]
When I was a little gitl George Jones' "He Stopped Loving her Today, and Conway Twitty's "Don't Cry Joanie" made me bawl. I was a sensitive little girl lol Now I am a sensitive big girl and Tim Mcgraw's "Don't Take the Girl" Dixie Chick' Travelin Soldier" and "When You Were Mine" and Bob Carlisles' "Butterfly Kisses" Sorry I know you might have been looking for one.. but those are the one's that do it to me every time [dizzblnd]
Honey You can come to me to cry when ever you have the need.. Thats what friend are for Doll And I'll be your friend.. You sound sweet! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo [raydene]
I don't think I ever really cried but I can get emotional listening these: Annie Lennox- Into The West This is really beautiful song. http://youtube.com/watch?v=I41fVvJZ71s Toshiro Masuda- Sadness And Sorrow Beautiful and sad melody. http://youtube.com/watch?v=wcocA9t5iJ0 X Japan- Endless Rain The part where crowd starts singing is just powerful. http://youtube.com/watch?v=GJ6yQLR1BfM X Japan- Forever Love http://youtube.com/watch?v=NC2az2jftX4 From their last concert before reunion. [Bionicman]
Aww I am listening to the Lennox one now and will listen to the others as I continue with my mylot duties here. Thanks for all the links Doll oxoxxoxoxoxo [raydene]
Hi raydene! Oh, I still have some problems with my youtube, it is not really uploading but I saved the link just in case I could watched it at a later time. I do have some songs that brought me into tears, the one I can never forget is the song, "Song Bird" of Barbara Streisand and some songs from Don Moen. Just love listening to music because it really speaks through my heart and soul. Just my thoughts my friend. Take care and have a nice day. :) [faith210]
Hi raydene! Ooh, I think I am missing a lot now. haha.. I am not giving up dear..I will still try and try loading youtube until my connection gets faster. haha...Take care my friend! :) [faith210]
not exactly crying, but there have been songs, that touched me so deeply and spoke to my soul. Unchained melody by the righteous brothers does that to me each and every time that I hear it. [winterose]
ah hon are you trying to make me cry.... I love you too [winterose]
the first time that i heard mary j blige's missing you, I just played it over and over again.... it just touched me and to this day i still listen to the song like it was my first time. [deelightful1]
This is a very pretty song. One of the songs that make me tear up is "It is well" because it was one of my Dad's favorites and it was sung at his funeral. When I heard it then I thought "It is Not well with my soul." but I have grown to love it. [perrytx]
Thanks for sharing this song with us. It was very beautiful. Whenever I hear John Lennon's "Imagine" it always brings tears to my eyes. I remember years ago I heard someone sing "Somewhere Over the Raimbow" on the radio. This singer sang it so beautifully that I cried. I have never heard this artist sing this song since. It was the most lovely version of this song I have ever heard (even better that Judy Garland) ... it was a male singer. Lovely! happy [marilynut]
Hi!! ya sometimes it happens, when we r listening a song we r so muvh moved by it that tears come in to eyes. this had happened with me also. when i loved someone but the relation broke.just to get out of dipresion i plzyed the song "ye pyaar mein kyun hota hai..." from movie tere naam. it is so touching that i kept on crying for hours. [kasminejasmine]
you should look up on you tube a song called~ what might have been by little texas that is a good video and song.... really touching and makes you think...go check it out [foundmyangel]
Yes there are some songs which made me cry all the time when I heard those!!! [maathav]
Oh,I think you're just right.Sometimes when you just are not thinking about anything, just abandon yourself to the music, you will find the real beauty of the music. Some musicians are also the factors that may make you to cry.Especially those who have hard time and struggle for their art of music. And I want to recommend you a film to see,"Rose Life"by name.I am not sure about the original name of this French movie. But its interpretation to Chinese is "Mei Gui Ren Sheng". [bestwishes]
definitely. when SHE's ella came out with her EP for her late dog, tears couldn't stop rolling when i heard it. i just felt the words and all. though i don't have a dog, but it's the loss that i can sympathize with. [regal_aeros]
yup, many times lol. Especially when I am feeling down or when I can totally relate to the song and find the lyrics so meaningful. [kevsgirlalways]
There are many songs that have made me cry. A few of them are Jesus Take The Wheel by Carrie Underwood, The Little Girl by John Michael Montgomery, Don't Take The Girl by Tim McGraw and Better Than Me by Hinder. The song by Hinder made me cry because of how it was really true in my life. It was just perfect at the time. The Little Girl is just a really sad song. I didn't cry to it but I wanted to. My boyfriend was playing it in the car didn't want to make it seem like I was a little softy. lol [reene0225]
There are many songs that had made me cry, and each song that moved me so much depends on my mood. This may sound not so sentimental but "Do I Make You Proud?" has made me cry when I sang them for my father. We were full of emotions that time and from that song we understand each other and I show my own way of thanking him for raising me up. "You Raise Me Up" is another song that moved me, because I owe my Father a lot. I owe to him a big part of my everything. [tonijane016]
There is alot of songs that has brought tears to my eyes. My daughter recently introduced me to Patty Griffin, and her songs are just amazing, especially "Up to the Mountain". I cried for an hour straight the first time I heard it. I don't really know why, but the lyrics just touched me. Another song that really touches me is "Hallelujah" by Jeff Buckley. It's another song that just touched me. The lyrics are just so inspiring. There is probably alot more, but then it might take hours for me to name them all..Ha! [Rita1968]
Me, i like the song of Josh Groban To where you are i really like the message of the song and to hear the voice of Josh Groban melts my heart. Whenever i listen to this song, i cry. I imagine what to the characters in the song. [grecychunny26]
You are very emosional sombody and musice lover [emmyemoney]
"take my heart back"the theme song of "if only",sing by jennifer love hewitt. that song really bring tears to my eyes...and the movie is so moving....have you ever seen this movie before? [xialinye]
There a couple tears in heaven by eric clapton, missing you by p diddy ,an some sweet day by boys to men an mariah cary [enola1692]
You know not much brings me to tears besides those commercials about abused animals where they play that arms of an angel song....wow that song gets me everytime...i have to turn the commercial because between the animals and the song i cant handle it.....just a song in general that i cant listen to is joe nichols ill wait for you....and my god have you ever seen the video? im sure its on youtube that is a sad song and video! [twiztidsoul19]
oh yeah... especially when the song reminds me of problems... =( incidently, i'm listening to one sad song right now... [athinapie]
i love that song.. and the movie as well. the link below, however, ive found to be one of the most powerfully moving peices of music ive ever heard in my entire life, and the first time i heard it, it did reduce me to tears. even now, after hearing it many times, it still reaches through and affects me. the person who made this vid, took an awfully lot of time to set it up. enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9lmbrExvAI [tessah]
there are two songs that bring me to tears no matter how many times i hear them. they are both by Martina McBride. one is concrete angel and the other is independence day. I guess songs based o0n abuse are tear jerkers for a lot of people but these are particularly sensitive to me because of the things i myself experienced as a child and the things I saw my mom go through. I do like that song by the Norwegian band it was beautiful. I don't remember it being in shrek but i guess i slept through most of that movie lol :) [sunkistroses401]
OMG, Yes...There is this one song that Dave Matthews sings called "Rhyme and Reason" and when I was at a very low point in my life, I used to listen to it all the time. It was all about suicide! I would cry my eyes out but for some reason, it also made me feel better! I still listen to it quite often but no more tears! [mibngold]
yea...its called "anak" in our language. A song about how parents take care of the child from the moment he was born until the time he can afford to hurt his parents! its very touching and will make us all realize many many time the unconditional love of our parents to us! I love the song really! [checapricorn]
yes especially if i'm very emotional when i'm listening to some of the songs [rhane7315]
Kelly Picklers song about her mother leaving and not being there as she grew up. I think it is called "I Wonder" It gets me everytime. [jstaubin]
I've had songs that brought tears to my eyes. I tend to get really into the song. When I'm all alone and just thinking I put on some music and just lay there and listen to the words and all. Sometimes, I picture myself in those words that come from the mouth of the artist singing the song. I don't know why I do it sometimes, but when I'm lonely I would put on a song that would make me feel lonely and they always seem to have me in tears about a little less than half way into the song. I remember the last song that made me cry. It was by Alicia Keys, which is a great music artist in my eyes. It was called, "Like You'll Never See Me Again." What made it so emotional for me was because my finance, now my husband, was in Iraq at the time. All I could think about was when he comes home to hold on to him, like I would never see him again. Maybe that isn't the best way to think of it, but I know with him being in the Military anything could happen. I recall talking to him online and looking at him on the web cam. I was listening to the song, and I started to cry as I looked at him. He couldn't see it at first, but when he did, he wanted me to stop. He hates seeing me cry. He told me I should change the song, but I just couldn't. I just kept saying how much I love him and miss him. Luckily everything is fine now, he's back and we're happily married. [thuynhu]
Yes i do .. the song Josh Groban " you lift me higher" can do just that but it depend on the mood i am at that time. There a few other songs .. i'll post them when i remember. [4xmyworld]
You are chatting with one of the most sappy women on the net today. (=^-^=) I can tear up on a song at the drop of a hat. I may try to hide it; but yes, I am sentimental. [MH4444]
the song that brought tears to eyes is " you are the one" by serenity, if you heard that song, ul be surprised how the music was sang and how lovely to hear each words being spoken out,,, i live thatg song, it reminds me of my ever dearest girlfriend.. " it goes this way... you are the one,, you are the one that ive been looking for my whole life through , you are the one...you are the one that ive been searching for my whole life through..." very inspiring [mjeugenio]
Go rest High sang by Vince Gill. This song and Who wants to live forever by queen. These two songs were played at my uncles funeral. So evertime I hear them, the words everything about them just reminds me of him. He picked these songs to be played and they depict him so well. [mrsfrodotata]
if the music is my favorite song i will imagine those happy and sad memories with someone that touches my hear so the tears of my eyes begin to flow. i cried many times when i heard my favorite song specially if i have problems with my parents, so i enter my room listen to the music and cried. [julyteen]
Hey, Jason performed that song on Idol...lol. I haven't heard it before...it's in Shrek? I didn't notice it there. These guys are really good. I love their voices. And when someone sings with emotion it makes the song so much better. Yes, I have been brought to tears by a song- sometimes the words (there are a couple that have me bawling from note one...lol) but also at times just the way they sing, or the melody, or whatever. Yes. Music is a passion for me and I get very emotionally involved in songs. Thanks for sharing the link...I enjoyed it. [above31rubies]
Have I got a blubber sound track for you. These songs speak to my heart even when I don't want them to. "Who Am I" by Casting Crowns "Made To Worship" by Chris Tomlin "Remember Me" by Mark Shultz "He Will Carry Me" by Mark Shultz "Call On Jesus" by Nicole C. Mullen "Believe Me Now" by Steven Curtis Chapman "Free" by Steven Curtis Chapman "Gabriela" by Whiteheart [gitfiddleplayer]
Many songs have brought tears to my eyes, especially when i was scanning many love songs for our wedding song and my father/daughter dance...Butterfly kisses makes me cry every time i hear it and also It feels like home from Chantal Kreviazuk, which was our wedding song. [jewel76]
Thanks for the link, that was certainly one of the best versions of the song I've heard. It didn't make me cry but I love that song. It last happened to me on Saturday night. A young boy was singing Pie Jesu on the TV talent show and it was so beautiful! As I was at work at the time it could have been quite embarrassing, but luckily my boss found it very moving too. Music often brings tears to my eyes, either because of something the performer brings to particular lyrics, the quality of their voice or because the song itself reminds me of something sad. Often I'm just overwhelmed by the beauty of the melody behind the words. I love Music! [Annmac]
The song which got tears in my eyes is a hindi song from the movie Taare Zaameen Par called Maa... It is about a son's emotions when being left alone at a boarding school for the first time. The song which got tears to my mom's eyes was the Perfet fan... I had played it for her. [anuraa30]
I love that song. I also cry when I hear a lot of songs, but they allude me for the moment. I have to be alone when I listen to it. I do love Pachibel, and there was the old fifty one El Paso, the guy and the girl were so in love, but then he was shot. It was so tragic. I also cried when I heard Leader of the Pack, Send in the Clowns, There are other songs. There is one that I think about, but for some reason I do not remember. It is on the top of my head, I know I have a cd of it someplace around. [suspenseful]
Have had alot of songs do that to me Raydene, but this was absolutely beautiful! Thanks for posting it so I could hear it! [Rosekitty]
Fumbling Toward Ecstasy, Sarah McLachlan..... All the fear has left me now I'm not frightened anymore It's my heart that pounds beneath my flesh It's my mouth that pushes out this breath And if I shed a tear I won't cage it I won't fear love And if I feel a rage I won't deny it I won't fear love Companion to our demons They will dance, and we will play With chairs, candles, and cloth Making darkness in the day It will be easy to look in or out Upstream or down without a thought And if I shed a tear I won't cage it I won't fear love And if I feel a rage I won't deny it I won't fear love Peace in the struggle To find peace Comfort on the way To comfort And if I shed a tear I won't cage it I won't fear love And if I feel a rage I won't deny it I won't fear love I won't fear love I won't fear love... what do u think of this... [Pinkon4u]
There are many songs that bring make me cry, some actually make me weep. There is My Way by Frank Sinatra, One MoreDday by Diamond Rio and Have I Told You lately That I Love you by Rod Stewart. These songs were songs we chose for my father at his funeral a little over a year ago. Just thinking about them now has made me cry. And then there is To Where You Are by Josh Groban. It was played at my most favorite dearest Aunts funeral just two months ago. Hearing the words make me think of her so much. She was so special to me my entire life. It is hard to imagine her not here. Ok, now that I am sitting here blubbering like a baby I guess it is time to move on to the next discussion. [YorkieBear]
That was when I was heart broken. Every song that I listened to seem to make me sadder and tears flow unconditionally. Unlike some who would continue listening to the songs as a way to overcome the period, I choose to avoid them. I stopped listening to songs until many many years later. lol [whyaskq]
i cried my heart out while listening to "who am i?" by casting crowns. it really hit me... i can't help but be brought into tears. [crazeMD]
hi raydene, how's your day? happy anyway, lots of songs make me cry.. as long i can relate to it, it feels sad or it feels really crying either out of joy or not.. one of which is Angel by Sarah.. it's really a touching one... thanks for posting and sharing this....rolleyes cheers and God bless... [delgar]
i was once in les miserables and played jean valjean. the song one day more at the end of act one brings tears to my eyes as i remember the audience reaction and the feeling of excitement in such a great show. another song from that show that i had to sing was bring him home which was a very soft high pitched number which left me in tears every night. i still cry over that song, even to this day! [jamesdryden]
Not so much a song as a piece of music that never fails to reduce me to tears. Barber's Addagio. This piece breaks me every time, brings back so meny memories that it is hard to stop the tears. [recycledgoth]
yes that song Sarah Beth about the little girl who has cancer and her boyfriend shaves his head to match her so they can go to a dance together. So sad when someone so young has to go through stuff like that. Also that song when I say I do. One day when hubby and I were kind of fighting trying to get things ready for a big crowd of people coming to our house. He grabbed me that night and he danced with me to that song and I listened to the words and it was like he was singing that song to me. It made me cry and everytime I hear it it makes me think of what he did and how great of a husband I have. I wouldn't trade him in for anything, now my mother in law thats a different story lol. [mflower2053]
i have felt like that a few times towards certain songs. i just can't remember what songs were it. but i was sure that it really touched my heart and i felt i wanted to cry and at some point i got teary-eyed. and these songs are really the best because it can move a person's feelings just by the words and music. [secretbear]
Yes. There are many songs that can bring a tear to my eye. I have to be in a sad mood though before I will actually cry over it. I have to focus on it and actually listen to the words though before it will make me cry. I cry over the melody of it sometimes too. [stephcjh]
