My myLot voice, that is......
I come here and can't find a thing to say. I can't think of a discussion to start. I try to respond to friends discussions and more often than not I erase everything I wrote and say nothing at all.
Why did I start this discussion in 'listening to music'? Because that seems to be all I want to do when I'm here..... turn on background music and wonder around looking for a laugh.
So, that's my discussion question.........
can you recommend some good myLot background music. I haven't REALLY lost my voice, so music I can sing at the top of my lungs while getting carried away would be great.

I am not listening to anything.....but the voices in my head! LOL....really I know what you mean. Lately even though I just got back from vacation I don't seem to be able to say anything....like even what I did while I was gone...maybe later it will come to me.....but for right now....nothing. I love listening to songs from Kanye West, Black Eyed Peas and some metal songs. You could listen to soundtrack songs from movies that you like too. I know I like that so much and could listen to soundtrack from movies like Toy Story and right up to those suspense movies and love ones too. I love movie soundtracks. Hope you can make use the idea there.. As for me, whenever I do mylot, I love to watch the tube too, and just putting it on auto play. I need to hear some sound and I can focus. I like your new avatar. I would recommend Dean Martins Houston or the Best of Sam Cook. I feel the same way as I actually stayed away from mylot for awhile and just saved all my notifications for today and I still do not find much to respond too. [muscles4me]
I guess what it is for me too is a rut. Seems like I see someone start a really good discussion and I answer it. They always respond and I go to look at the other responses onlt to finf very few other mylotter even responded.shocked. for someone who could not find a discussion...looks for all practical purposes that you did in fact find one. ok...background music. I tend to put on pandora and do a quick mix of old and new music....rock, alternative and metal. I get up in the morning and click it on and go about my day...it works for me. I get a variety of music. are you really looking for a laugh...ok so I'm also good at coming up with the most annoying music on the planet. A few years back I gave out "hair " for xmas cards...you cant get much more annoying than that. I'll hook you up with annoying music if that's what you want . ok? [sid556]

Well I have my playlist in my profile and sometimes I'll let my playlist play in the background while I post my topics to keep from getting bored I have a lot of different music on my playlist, I have lady gaga, linken park, Rhianna the theme from the film queen of the dammed and a lot more fun songs you can take a listen sometime if you like, cheers.happy [apples99]

Hmm.. The only music I hear everyday is the TV. My family always watches variety shows and novels though I don't intently watch them cause I am busy on my laptop. I also find it hard to concentrate when I hear a lot of things around me, like music for example. It distracts me, finding myself just staring at my laptop with the music running around my head heherolleyes. Before I use to listen to music and I know I can work with music on. But now I've changed and I don't know why. Maybe it's because I haven't been listening to music lately. I want to experience it again, having to jive and sing along while happily posting here in mylot. I miss feeling relax here in mylot hehe.lolI know music helps people feel relax. Ciao!wink [iskayz]

Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush Don't give up. I've backed up my MP3 on my laptop and sometimes I put the music on shuffle and play it from the computer while I work. My voice hasn't disappeared yet although my family is sitting in the lounge room wishing really hard that it would so my singing would cease! rolleyes [paula27661]

I'm not listening to anything at the moment, but I do like music while I work... phyical work that is. If i'm doing anything that requires concentration I prefer the quiet. Hello Pots!wub Long time no see my friend! How have you been? I am not listening to anything right now, but the sound of the birds and the trucks and cars on the highway in the distance. I am peaceful today so far that is. myLot seems to be holding my attention good enough as it usually does. I am trying to extend my 'quiet time' in the morning as it does me the world of good. Sleeping good in the night has helped me tremendously in being productive, although I do like to listen to music throughout the day to make housework and stuff funner! I used to listen to Soundscape ..that was good, but I no longer have that here. I've had a lot of odd songs in my head, anything from commercial jingles, to just play silly, or older songs. I can't really think of any songs right off hand for you to sing, but I'd recommend something to do with not being heard, maybe? i actually listen to talk radio, a fairly local station and quite often i get some really good ideas for posting discussions on mylot. it just depends on what the topic is. the station is good as they change discussion topics fairly often. [cher913]
I can see that being a good place to come up with discussion topics. My husband listens to talk radio on his drive to and from work, which gives him plenty to talk about with me later. Unfortunately for me, it is sports talk radio and I am not anywhere near as into sports as he is. rolleyes [makingpots]
