I am going to my first live concert ever this Wednesday! I am very excited. When I was younger I had a lot of responsibilities and never had the means to go to a concert although I have always loved music. I can't wait. My b/f has been to a hundred I guess. He even followed bands on tour before! He insistes I can't go another day without seeing a concert..lol..So how many concerts have you seen? Did you like them live?
[question posted by JenInTN]
responses and comments:
happywub I went to a rock concert when Three dog night was still touring. I also went to a country concert. Those were the only two and they were both great. I remember everything about them and I hope you have the very best time. [eaforeman6]
Thank you..I am very excited. Sounds like you had a lot of fun when you went. [JenInTN]
I have probably been under 20 concerts, most were local bands though! [MissTina]
I have been to a bit of tours, I just think the local band feel is a great concert experience. I used to always go see The Fray when they were a tiny unknown band, now look at them!!! It is great to see! [MissTina]
Finally, my concerts in 36 cities in the year 2008. After that I have not a concert anymore. Attend a concert other musicians? Yes, I am pleased that, if I have enough money. If I were given free tickets, I will surely come.lol [hsofyan]
Hi hsofyan! Wow..36 concerts of your own! You sound like a very successful musician. I am very excited about going to my first big show by a touring musician. Thanks for the response. [JenInTN]
I have only been to two concerts in my life, the first was to see Bucks Fizz, not sure if you have heard of them but they were a pop group from the 80s and the second concert was to see Abba at The Royal Albert Hall in London. I was also taken to see Coldplay as a surprise but I don't like Coldplay and I left before they went on stage, my ex thought it was a wonderful surprise, I know I shouldn't be ungrateful but they had got free tickets and so thought I'd enjoy it. [wolfie34]
I wouldn't want to sit through a concert by someone I didn't enjoy either. I would just be a knot on a log if I stayed. I hope I enjoy the one I'm going to. It's Hank 3. I hear he's a rowdy show..lol..my b/f keeps threatening to take me upfront to the mosh pit thing and I just tell him..you better watch it..I'm meaner than I look..LOL. Thanks for responding and take care. [JenInTN]
I haven't unfortunately been to major concerts, but I have visited some smaller performances. I hope and plan to visit some good concert as soon as I can. [Biomechanoid]
blush Yes..he doeswink [JenInTN]
Good for you. I'm sure you will have a lot of fun. I have been to two concerts before. They were both for Bon Jovi. My husband has also been to tons of concerts before he met me. [Shar19]
Big Bon Jovi fan huh? I loved them too. I would have liked to go and see them. I had a friend that named her cat Jovi..lol..she was a fan too. I bet those were great concerts. What is it with men and getting to go to a ton of concerts? LOL [JenInTN]
When I was 16 I seen super tramp and chris de burg, then lover boy. Ever since I've been with my honey i've been to tons of concerts,. We seen ALICE COOPER, TED NUGENT, METALLICA,NICKLEBACK, WHITESNAKE,we missed JUDAS PRIEST because my friend didn't get tickets when he said he did. Now on august first we gonna see MOTLEY CRüe and GOODSMACK, I could go on but I lost track. I hope you have a great time because it's sooo much fun. [missybear]
Wow! I would love to see all of those! Sounds like you guys really love going to concerts. I hope to see more in the future myself. Thanks for the response. [JenInTN]
hi Jenn you haveing being missing a lot i think i love going to concerts haven't been for about12 years or so Me and antiquelady went to several when we were younger and i went with others to the last one i went to was Randy Travis and Allen Jackson or Sawer Brown i forgot boy do they put on a good concert Sawer Brown does hope you have a good time who are you going to see? [anniefannie]
Heyya anniefannie! That's what my b/f says. He says I'm missing out bigtime. I'm going to see Hank 3. He's one of my b/f's favorite and he says he puts on a great show. I hope to get to see more in the future for sure. [JenInTN]
Oh My Gosh..Your going to see Hank Williams the 3rd?? SOOOOO LUCKY!!!!!!! I have all his albums! [ladybountyhunter17]
Yes..I can't wait! My b/f covers all his songs so I get to hear the music all the time but I am very excited about seeing him live. Maybe I can take pictures and post em. Thanks for responding. [JenInTN]
I've been to 3. I went to see Tommy Paige & 2x to see The Guffs between the ages of 13-19 and I haven't been to one since. I can't afford to go and I don't have the patience for crowds and rude people. [3SnuggleBunnies]
I know what you mean. There have been shows I would have liked to have seen in the past but money and time was an issue. I hope I don't run into many rude people..I'll have to take them to the mosh pit..lol..thanks for responding. [JenInTN]
Not sure Jen, but enough to have caused me permanent hearing loss. Haven't been to any since Johnny Winter a few years ago. But it was so smokey in there I couldn't get a breath. HAd it been anyone other than Johnny, I might have actually left early. I like concerts when they are not too loud, if they are loud, then the sound has to be tight. I hate distortion. I would love to go see two new guys though. Wayne Hancock, (Hank Williams Sr was one of his greatest influences) and Shelton Williams, (Hank III) which, coincidently is dear old Hank's grandson whom he doesn't even know he has. I'd also like to see George Jones, the BEPs, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd if I went on a concert-going fest. haha oh that KWS will be brutal on the 'ol listeners though...sigh.. Hope you're well, popped in to say 'hey', and hi to other friends here too - i hope they see my post, as I have only posted a couple places today. Hope you are all well and having a good summer. [plunketear]
ninja barely..LOL [JenInTN]
Hey Jen! Good for you! Who ya going to see? Let's see if I can remember? Now I have to go wayyyyyyyyy back! Now I don't think they will be in any specific order, just what I can remember so here goes: I saw The Beach Boys with Chicago, George Benson with Nancy Wilson, Chic Corea (those were with my X-fiancee who was into Jazz), Prince, Purple Rain Tour, Bruce Springstein, Barry White. I can't remember who else! There may have been some that I forgot! But, I know that the Beach Boys/Chicago and Prince were the best! There were so many I wanted to go to, but never could get tickets! [Opal26]
Heyya Opal! It's Hank 3 I'm going to see. I bet that Prince concert was amazing! I would love to see him! I was such a Prince fan. Chicago would have been a great show to I bet. I hope to see more in the future. I'm excited. Thanks for responding. [JenInTN]
Thats really cool, who are you going to see? Ive been to one concert, and that was to No Doubt years ago lol. Now cannette sounds like your boyfriend she has been to tons of concerts lol. [darkjedi1]
He is the sone of Hank Williams Jr. He strayed fromthe family heritage of country and played metal. Now..over the past few years he does country and metal. So I am expecting a 1/2 country and 1/2 metal show..lol..I'm in for it bigtime. [JenInTN]
I've been to two concerts in my lifetime. happy One was Tim Mcgraw but for the life of me I can't remember the name of the other artist. Both were okay. [libby2009]
I only knew it was him because I heard his voice. LOL I ended up with tickets in the nose bleed section. I hope you enjoy your concert. [libby2009]
Hi Jen, Good for you. Like you, I have never been to a live concert in my life. I never really had the opportunity. There are at least a couple I'd like to see and that's The Eagles and The Bee Gees. I know, I'm showing my age but what can I say? Having been a Bartender in my early to mid 30's, my end of the bar was about 10 feet from the bands speaker. I'm lucky to have one good ear left. So loud places I don't fair well in. I hope you have the time of your life. Hugsss leenie [leenie50]
Thank you leenie! Oh...I would love to see the Eagles! I used to bartend too so I know what you mean..lol..I'm ready for this concert though. I want to say I have at least seen one. You should just roadtrip on over here and go with us. Thanks for responding! [JenInTN]
Boo hoo I have only ever been to ONE when I was 16 and it was to see "The Corrs" (for anyone who doesn't know they are/were a family group of three girls/1 guy from Ireland). [fmpisces]
Sounds like you liked them very much. I hope that I have fun too. Maybe you will get to see another one soon. Thanks for responding and welcome to myLot! [JenInTN]
I'm so glad u are going to get to go , jen. Who are you seeing? i use to go to them still would if i drove at night & got around better. I hope u have a big ol' time. [ANTIQUELADY]
Hank 3 is who I'm seeing. That anniefannie says you and her were quite the concert viewers. I hope I'll get to go to more in the future. This one is in Knoxville. It's about 45 mins to an hour away but I'm very excited. Thanks for responding. [JenInTN]
I have been to quite a number. I have lost count to be honest. I like musical concerts, and whenever a band or an orchestra come to the City, I wouldn't miss to go. Philamornic orchestras too ! [greenline]
That sounds very interesting. I hate to sound stupid but I'm not quite sure what Philamornic orchestras are. I'll have to research it. You sound like quite the music lover my friend. Thanks for responding. [JenInTN]
I've been to 3 that I can remember for sure. Our first concert was Bryan Adams. It was a surprise for my sister's birthday. I can't remember how old we were, but it was back when he was popular lol. Then we went to some concert that a radio station had going. There was a bunch of different bands playing and we had lawn seats. Then we also had gone to a concert that was all lawn seating and it was joan jett and weird al. I haven't been to any concerts lately. I think I've become to paranoid of the bad things that could happen. [ravinskye]
Well...being paranoid about that is not so much a bad thing. It's hard not to be in this day and time. It sounds like you have been to some great shows. I bet that Weird Al was quite the show...lol..Thanks for the response. [JenInTN]
I've only been to 2. I went to the Sars Fest years ago in Toronto. But then again, everybody went to that one. The second one was the ACDC concert this past winter. It was awesome. [votenoonpineapple]
I would have loved to have seen that ACDC one. I bet that was awesome. They are legendary for sure. Thanks for the response. [JenInTN]
I enjoyed all the concerts I have been too. I have been to John Hiatt, BLue Oyster Cult, David Copperfield, The Cash Family, and such as that. Several others I can't even think of right now. They are great live. Large crowds. Becareful. All great music and good preformances. Hope you enjoy this one. [celticeagle]
LOL...your probably right. [JenInTN]
There is nothing like a concert. Once you been to one you will be hooked there hasnt been one I didnt enjoy. I get a rush out of seeing some of my favorite bands play live. Best feeling and nothing like it. I hope you have loads of fun and enjoy yourself :) [R0CKABILLYBABE]
I can't wait!! I hope to see more in the future for sure. i can't wait to see what it's like. I hear Hank 3 puts on a great show. My b/f covers all his songs and I know we are going to have a blast. Thanks for responding. [JenInTN]
I have been to 4 concerts and have had fun at all of them. My first one was Good Charlotte and Boys Like Girls. They are really fun if you are in the general admission standing room only area right in front of the stage. [jwetter]
I think that's where we are going to be. I can't wait. Sounds like you have had a lot of fun at the shows you have seen. I'm so excited. Thanks for responding. [JenInTN]
I have been to nine concerts. My hubby goes to tons of concerts. [kellys3ps]
Wow! Nine! That's a lot. I guess your hubby really likes going. Do you go with him? Thanks for the response. [JenInTN]
I've only been to three concerts in my life. First one was Backstreet Boys (how embarrassing I know). They put on a great show, but I was quite young at the time and was just amazed by the amount of people that were there. The second concert I went to was Josh Groban. He is absolutely amazing live, he even played the piano or drums in some of the songs. The third concert I went to was Slayer (yes I know I have an eclectic music taste). Each concert had its own feel to it. It depends on the type of music you are into. Unfortunately, rock, metal, rap, and a few other genres like to bring a lot of drugs to the venues. This could be good or bad depending on the type of person you are. I personally would love to start listening to local bands because there usually is a lot of talent wherever you are. I hope you enjoy your first concert! [hn34xyx]
LOL..i used to like the Backstreet Boys when I was younger..lol..it will be our secret though. I am like that too with my music. My tastes are quite flexible. I know what you mean about that atmosphere. I hope that things go smoothly for me. I do enjoy local bands. Thanks for the response. [JenInTN]
Honestly my friend, from the beginning of my interest in music I just watched only once. That was a live concert of one my favorite musicians, Jim Chappell (have you heard of this performer). From that moment until now I could only watch only at the movies and dvd's. How I wish someday I could...lol [mobhomeir]
He does sound familiar. I'll have tolook him up too see if I've heard any of his music. I hope you get to go see another soon. I am very excited about my trip. Thanks for the response. [JenInTN]
I absolutely LOVE going to concerts. It is one of my most favorite things to do. I have been to about 16 concerts as best as I can guess. I have kept all my ticket stubs, but some concerts I have went to I paid at the door and so they didn't give me an actual ticket. I wish I could have gone to more, but lack of money, time and a ride often keeps me from going. The first concert I went to was when I was 16 years old. I am now 19. You're husband is right. I think that you have really missed out and I bet you're going to have a blast! So who are you going to see anyway? [_sketch_]
Hi sketch! I am going to see Hank 3. My b/f actually covers a lot of his songs and says he puts on a great show. My b/f has a lot of ticket stubs as well...oh and t shirts too. I hope I do have a good time. I'm very excited about it. It's been about time and money for me too. Thanks for responding. [JenInTN]
Now you're asking a toughie! I enjoy music,I go to live gigs (It's a good test for your favourite groups if they can make you feel the same way about them, seeing them Live on stage as you do when you want to buy their music having heard it on radio or seen Videos!)I've seen bands in School Gyms,Bars,Clubs,Hotels,Football Stadiums, and open Arenas...If you're there because You like the Music,You'll have a great time! Living in Ireland, there is so much music here-While still at school in the '80's,"Horslips" were arguably the first Celtic Rock Group, who then broke up at the height of their career..I'm proud to say I saw them Live several times..in Recent Years,a bunch of Students/Musicians formed a Tribute band, which I've also seen, and IMO,they have definitely captured the sound-on their Debut, they managed to get members of the Original band on stage with them,a sign of approval..and in the past month,I've heard The original Band have reformed, and are to Gig again in December! I have bought my tickets already...w00t Good luck and Enjoy Your first Gig!happy [ShepherdSpy]
Wow..you have really been to alot! I do love music. I am very excited. Thanks for responding. [JenInTN]
Hi Jen! Normally, we do not get much opportunity to go to concerts. When I was unmarried, me and one of my close friends would go to concerts and music nights to enjoy ourselves. Actually, these kind of concerts come to end late at night and it becomes difficult to return and manage at late hours, therefore, now a days we do not make any plan to go to concerts. We fulfill our desire to see music events/concerts, when they are shown on TV at a later date. [dpk262006]
That's the way I have always done it too. I'm excited about seeing one for the first time. They do often run into the late hours of the night and it would make it very hard to attend a lot of them because of work and children. Thanks for responding. [JenInTN]
I hope you have a great time, Jen! You never did mention who was playing. LOL! When I was in college I went to a Bob Seger concert and loved it. That was the only concert I've ever been to in my life. I don't feel badly about that though. I've never really been a concert type person anyway. The older I get the less I can take the noise level. LOL! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija [kellyjeanne]
Hank 3 is playing..lol..I love Bob Segar! That was a great concert I bet! We'll see how I take the noise level part..lol..Thanks for the response.. [JenInTN]
Morning, dearest Jen! Hate to admit this, but probably more Live Concerts than I can remember! Last 5 years at CJVI Victoria, was Promotional Director, so had the likes of Charlie Pride, Tanya Tucker, Johnny Cash, Statler Bros.,...and get this, the very LAST concert of Hank Snows---have pics of me with him! Then did years as a volounteer at the Merritt Mountain Music Festival (all Country).....Merritt is considered the "Nashville of the North"---every building has a Painting of a Country Music Star on it....it's a Festival of 4 days with over 350 thousand attending....most of them camping! Name the entertainer, and they have been there!Just for entertainment "google" Merritt Mountain Music Festival...or even Merritt, B.C. You'll love it! Have a spectacular day--dear girl! (First day off in 43 now)Cheers! [pergammano]
What a sweet lady, you are....JeninTn! Thank you for the "golden pencil" it truly makes one's day when they are so honored! Truly, a big thanks! I just re-read my comment...a do feel a bit like a fool....it sounded quite a bit like a braggart, and truly that I am not.....but I did work in the business for some-time, and it's just a spin off of being there! I do apologize if I came across that way! Jen...I even took the weekend off...we are experiencing dastardly hot,HOT,HOT weather here...for us....hovering between 98 and 110 above....our Fire hazard rating is extreme...WE ARE JUST NOT USED TO THIS! wE ARE BREAKING ALL OLD RECORDS, and it is a "muggy" muggy heat as we are surrounded by the Ocean! I went to Vancouver, B.c. and played "Paramedic" for my son's FINAL touranment of the year! I had a great time...TOO much sun....TOO much fun...and TOOOOOO much libation, at the end of the day! It was "margaritavil" time! Glad you had a whopper of a time......do it again, it's good for the "country" soul! Cheers, my dearest! [pergammano]
I'v only been to one big concert like you're going to but several smaller ones and to a medium sized festival a few times. I loved the big ocncert adn hope to go to see the same band later this year [Elspethr]
Good for you! I hope you have a great time when you see them again. Thanks for responding. [JenInTN]
Who are you going to go see? I am going to a concert as well on Wednesday! It is my first time seeing Aerosmith live. I can't wait!! I've been to several concerts, and even one Bonnaroo. However, my husband is like your b/f. He is a Deadhead and used to follow the Grateful Dead around back when Jerry was alive, and then he followed the Dead a while afterwards as well. He used to do lights at the Varsity in Baton Rouge, so he used to see a lot of bands for free before they got big. He saw 311 before they became huge, and also bands like Green Day and U2. He remembers seeing U2 in that little bitty place, and Bono had said that night that they would be bigger than the Beatles. I haven't seen nearly that many shows, but I got to see Van Halen and the Police within the last couple of years, which was really cool, seeing as neither band has toured in the last 20 or so years. And I rarely miss Dave Matthews when he comes through Atlanta. I also see every single Asylum Street Spankers show I can get my hands on! They're my fave! [cobra1368]
The Spankers have been touring for years. They hit places all over the country on a regular basis, so check their website to find out when they come near you! And you also have a chance to see the Dead if you want to. They are touring again! [cobra1368]
When I was a teen and LOVED music I loved to listen to cds but had no interest to go to a concert. My husband has gone to many concerts before we began dating. Since we started dating he has gone to a few concerts but we don't have the money to spend on luxuries like concerts so I dont let him go anymore. I went to one concert with him it was a tool concert. Although the concert was pretty cool I think it was really just a waste of money and I would much rather listen to a cd then see someone play in person. I can control the volume of the cd player but I cant control anything at a concert. My husband used to spend his time in the mosh pit when he would go but when we went together we sat in seats. [shaggin]
My b/f keeps threatening to take me to the mosh pit. I tell him he better watch himself if he does..lol...I do agree that concerts are expensive luxeries sometimes. I would like to say I got to see one if I never see another again. Thanks for the response. [JenInTN]
I've only been to a couple of actual concerts but I've been at a couple of music festivals and they usually have like ten to thirty concerts there. I've been to a local music festival playing mainly local bands and I've been to the Detroit Electronic Music Festival where I saw the coolest live band I've seen which was the Glitch Mob. [jambi462]
Music festivals would be the best. They do have a a few bands playing and you can choose where you want to be. Thanks for responding. [JenInTN]
MY first live concert was November last year :D by the Japanese band Dir En Grey (they're pretty awesome if you live heavy stuff and/or screamo) And my second one was April this year, at Anime MAtsuri, I saw Miyavi (another Japanese artist. He's pop/rock, but more pop nowadays xD) He was amazing!! and he talked in conversaional English!! really fluently!! lol i should stop here before i start going on a rant... well anyways, if it's an artist you like, i'm sure you'll enjoy it, unless they..suck live or something..idk lol ENJOY YOUR CONCERT!! [chibiXpudding]
yup :) OHHHMAIGAWD yes XD AEWSOME! [chibiXpudding]
Hellohappy When I was a kid I went to a few concerts in the park with my family. The first concert I remember going to is the Beach boys when I was around 7 years old . It was nice they had sand and palm trees, and I remember people tossing around beach balls. Then I got into New Kids on the Block and went to a few concerts of them . Then I remember as a teen I went to see Oasis and Creed. As older alot more , and then only now some concerts are worth it. I would say my few favs are : Prince , and Bowie! [metschica25]
I bet that Prince put on a great show! Wow..you have been going since childhood! I guess your parents had a great love for music. I think that's terrific. Thanks for the response. [JenInTN]
I have been to so many concerts in my lifetime I cannot count. But my all time favorite was Stevie Wonder 2yrs ago. [Trinette]
Alot od concerts huh? Stevie Wonder would be great to see. Thanks for the response. [JenInTN]
I LOVE THEM LIVE, be careful not to fainted during the concert, bring some drink with you it will help, believe me. [kurniawanSurvey]
Oh my! I hope I don't faint. I'll take your advice! Thanks! [JenInTN]
I have been to a few concerts. The first one I went to was when I was fourteen, and that was 98 Degrees. I've seen Dir en grey twice in concert, and they're definitely my favourite live act I have seen. [baldypriest]
Thanks for sharing! I'll keep my eyes open for Dir en grey. Take care. [JenInTN]
I think more than I can count on my hand. My first was Nightranger in the mid 80's, and my last was Pat Benetar. Between those two, I lost track lol [geminikid]
LOL...must have been a lot then. Thanks for the response. [JenInTN]
Like you I have never been to a concert either! I would love to go to one but for some reason have just never done it. Although however I did have tickets to see MJ later on this year but of course that will not be happening now. I will try and see a concert sometime soon though - I have heard that nothing beats that live atmosphere. [UK_Shree]
Yes a big one. Thanks for replying back though and I hope you have a great time at your first concert! [UK_Shree]
I haven't been to too many, Barry Manilow and John Denver, basically. I just got tickets for my husband's birthday to see Billy Joel and Elton John. Should be great! [dawnald]
Ohh...that does sound like it will be a good one. Hope you have fun. [JenInTN]
I've only been to maybe ten or twelve and it's almost always a blast. The first one ever was at Gulfstream Park, Hollywood, Florida, though, and it was the huggest, most bestest ever, weekend long! YEAH !!! [mechanicNOT62]
Sounds like you had a blast. I am more excited by the minute! Thanks for responding! [JenInTN]
i have 2 concert i join... means big concert.. i'am very excited in concert, many people days, have fun :) [mohdhayri]
That's cool. I hope I have fun too. Thanks for responding. [JenInTN]
I have been to a l0ot of concerts I can't even count them anymore, but I love concerts! [marciascott]
I hope this will be one of many to come. I am getting more excited. It's tomorrow night!!!w00t [JenInTN]
Hey JenInTN, when I was a teenager living in Melbourne, Australia, I went to many concerts, but most of the artists have passed on now. Probably the best was Johnny Cash, and The Everley Bros. But I also saw Buddy Holly, Bill Haley, Gene Vincent and many more. You have just brought back many fond memories for me,all from 50 years ago. Thank you. I must fire up the Cds now while the memories are fresh. [mipen2006]
Fire em up mipen! Sounds like you really saw some great shows! Thanks for responding! [JenInTN]
Well I have only been to one concert and that was about 20 years ago. I went to see Howard Hewitt. I did go to Las Vegas about 40 years ago and saw some shows there. I reallt have no interest in entertainment and would rather spend my time in the gym. [muscles4me]
At least you got to see one. I might actually decide there is something I would rather do next time but for now..I'm really excited. Thanks for the response! [JenInTN]
I love concerts, I think my first 'biggie' was U2 in '93ish. I took time off school for that one. I also wagged to see Tool at the Christchurch Town Hall, it was amazing, I have seen Tool twice more since but the first was best, maybe because they weren't that mainstream and the enclosed space meant the moshing and steam was that much more intense.Ummm I saw Bob Dylan open the Westpac Trust along with Patti Smith (she is a rock GODDESS, ZZ Topp, Velvet Revolver, Smashing Punmpkins, Violent Femmes, Queens of the Stone Age, METALLICA to name some of my faves. Tom Jones too lol, damn he is good! (And yes, knickers ARE thrown!) [Gemstar6]
blinkOh my..I hadn't though about the possibility I might want to throw my knickers! I will have to consider the ones I will be wearing now..LOL...Thanks for responding! [JenInTN]
I am a very practical person, and the truth is, i really cannot appreciate going to concerts. For one, i hate crowds, and so i cannot understand why i have to fall in line while i can actually watch the concert at home in our home theater. I would not have to worry about the parking space simply because i would not need to drive the car if i watch it at home. Then, i can just pause it anytime i need to go to the toilet, unlike in the concert where i cannot pause the show, then i have to walk far and pass by the other spectators. Most of all, if i watch a concert, i would have to dress up, unlike at home, i can watch it even if i am in my underwear only. Well, what i am saying is just for me, and i am not saying that the others are wrong. As i said, it is just for me. [safejunk]
I see what your saying. It is more comfortable to watch crowded events on TV. I want to say I have been to at least one in my lifetime..lol..bucketlist kind of thing I guess. Thanks for the input! [JenInTN]
I was well into adulthood when i attended my 1st live concert. Im originally from a small town in iowa. Nothing much goes throught there. Since ive moved to colorado ive been to many concerts. I listen to reggae and the tickets for those dont cost as much as the american artist. We have Red Rock Ampitheather here. Its the coolest place ever for an outdoor concert. Best part it since i was older in starting my nitelife...the kids are already grown and on their own...i never needed a babysitter!!! [jdyrj777]
I have been to several and most of them were really good. I have seen David Lee Roth w/ Van Halen, Tina Turner, she can get down on stage! I have also seen Sawyer Brown, Kenney Chesney and Third Day! Third Day was AWESOME, but of course I love contemporary Christian music, so that is probably no big surprise. I really enjoy live music at concerts but I don't care much for CD's that are recorded live. Anyway, that is bought the extent of my concert attendance to date. I know you will have fun, ENJOY! God Bless! [change1life]
I have only been to a handlful of concerts. But that number is about to double within the next few months. I am from Montana where alot of people didn't tend to perform, but the last few years it has been booming and we are getting more and more which is awesome. i am looking forward to the concerts within the next few weeks. [nrn2003]
That's great you will be getting more chances to see them! I will be keeping my eyes open for more as well. Thanks for responding. [JenInTN]

How in the world are you annjilena? It is so good to hear from you! Thanks for the response! [JenInTN]
I've seen some, more when I was a young teen, then a break and then a few as I have gotten older. I did get to see Sting for free, won tickets and then I won $100 worth of tickets and got to see Stevie Nicks, Arlo Guthrie (saw him twice for free now, but the other time was on the Austin City Limits stage when they were filming a special for PBS. Don't really remember the other shows I saw on those tickets - that was before tickets became so expensive! I've seen a number of shows I guess, walked out of Deep Purple, that was ear-bleedingly loud! [ElicBxn]
Yeah, and my ears rang for a week, and I was nearly in the back of the venue. [ElicBxn]
hi jenintn!^^ so how's the concert? i've been to a few concerts myself. the last one i've been to was the Pussycat Doll's concert here in the Philippines. i've always liked attending concerts because you can feel the energy of the audience and live performances are always surprising because the singers would give the songs a twist. its always fun to watch them live because they interact with the audience. happy [secretbear]
It was incredible! I know what you mean about the energy of the crowd. It really intensified the whole thing! Everyone was so excited and if you weren't excited going in..you could almost become that way because of everyone else. Thanks for responding! [JenInTN]
