CNN is reporting he had a heart attack. Some news stations and websites are already reporting he's dead. So sad...
How will you remember him? As the 80's icon who sang "Beat It" and "Billy Jean"? Or as "Jacko" the ghostly figure we've seen in the news recently, in court for alleged child molestation charges?
I was a young child in the 80's and don't remember much of his younger years. I know his songs, and know what he used to look like, but sadly I think I'll remember the 2000 version of Michael best.

I will remember him growing up as a very talented sweet guy who could dance and who was one of the greatest entertainer ever. It is a sad day. [lelin1123]
He was great.. such a shame. [katsmeow1213]
I think I'll remember the Thriller CD or back then tape or record LOL And probably all of his Pepsi commercials he did. [ZephyrSun]
sadly the news is true, he died from a heart attack while rehearsing for his London gigs. i'll remember him for his Off The Wall and Thriller albums, he was at the peak of his career during that period. he was undoubtedly a great talent and will be missed by millions of fans across the world. he can now rest in peace, free at last from the media and press which caused him so much unhappiness in his later years. Michael Jackson R.I.P. [robert67]
i am still a bit shock about his death. i'll remember the great singer that he is. i'll remember the michael jackson i had liked a long time ago, the black michael jackson, that is how i will remember him. from his childhood to the billy jean, thriller, etc... all those days when he was still a black michael jackson. [jayrene]
I'll remember him as a great artist. Still can't believe he's dead. His album HIStory (a mix of old and new songs on 2 CD's) was the first CD I've ever got (got it for birthday along with a CD player). RIP:( [Bionicman]
Its so sad that Michael passed away early 50's is really young to die, but we have nothing to do about it. Anyway, i must remember Michael jackson for being one of the talented artist. He was really an inspiration especially to those of his fans. I grow up seeing him singing and dancing and his really good in both talent. I will always remember his songs, Beat It, Billy Jean, Thriller, Bad, Human Nature, and the best song for me my favorite among his song was Heal the world. This song was really a touching song. Definitely we will be missing mIchael jackson whatever the controversy he was having during his time. Goodbye Michael and thanks for the memories =) [kmaram]
I liked that song too. [katsmeow1213]
I'll remember him most because of his Pepsi commercials. He was one of my favorites in the 80's along with Lionel Richie. I still remember buying so many song magazine where most of his songs are featured or he was on the cover. [asereht1970]
I didn't know he died. I think he had a very sad life. I think I can remember him as a pop icon, but of course, I can't help, but also remember all the controversies later on in his career. What a pity. Just when he was about to do his big concert. [wahmivy]
I guess I'll just remember him as being strange. He spend most of his life trying to change the way he looked and being weird. Plus there was the whole sleeping with little boys thing too. His music was good back then, not so much in the past few years. he was very talented though, it is a shame. [ravinskye]
lol@ravinskye. i will remember him for being a talented freak and pedophile, who got away with messing with people's kids. if a heart attack didn't kill him, someone's crazy parents probably would have eventually. [MoonGypsy]
I guess I will always remember Michael Jackson as that very talented artist who sang the pop hit "Thriller" and "Black or white". I was still very young when the "Thriller" album came out but my brother kept playing it on the radio so I got to know Machael Jackson through that album. [alindahaw]
I would rather remember Michael Jackson as a great music talent. I wouldn't want to remember him for all his plastic surgeries and the horrible child molestation charges. He was a great singer and dancer, I just want to remember him for that. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. [chunijole]
why do people want to ignore that he was a pedophile? he just got away with it, like O.J got away with murder. why do people think that talent stars can do no wrong. just cause you have talent doesn't mean that you should be able to get away with murder, or rape, or any crime. let me ask all you jacko supporters. would any of you let your kids sleep in the bed with your hero? ha ha. :) ) [MoonGypsy]
I will remeber his as many of you as a talanted singer and grat dancer - the king of pop or something! As a kid I really like the songs he hade and many many times I have listened his songs. He was inspiration. As a grow up I have change my taste to music but always even now when i hear his voice and songs I feel something special. Michael is one of the figures it will stay in my mind as a grate preformer! Curentlly I really don't care aboult all the operations and kids abouse even they are not good things. [Satrudnik]
hearing his song again and again.......... [kelly_hello]
It is a terrible news, very hard to believe. It takes a long time for me to believe this fact that MJ died of cardiac arrest..He is my favourite singer and still he is there in my heart. He is immortal.......I cannot stop crying after hearing this news..I am greatly saddened by his sudden demise. Right now I can only remember the song "Heal the World".Now,its meaning has a great importance.. [tuyakiki]
For me I will always remember him from his Billie Jean and Thriller days as this was the music I grew up listening to. I fell out of love with much of his later stuff and sort fo stopped following him so I will remember him before his life turned into the crazy mess that it sadly became. [thedailyclick]
I guess I remember more of his later work, I mean I remember him in the 80s and I have lots of his music on record but I remember him more from after the 80s. I think it is really sad that he is dead but I was not really surprised to be honest. [gemini_rose]
No, it wasn't much of a surprise, I knew he was sick, I'd heard that a few months ago. [katsmeow1213]
No one could ever replace Michael Jackson, He's an epitome of World-Class talent. He touched a lot of lives through his music. Even though he has some glitchhes from the past, that only means he's just human who made mistake just like everyone of us.. The songs that I would really like was the Earth Song and Ben among others. RIP MJ! [sybil02]
Hello katsmeow1213, I remember I grew up with some of his song that besides the ones you mentioned includes "Thriller", "Smooth Criminal", "The girl is mine" and many more. However the songs I think I would remember him best are "man in the mirror", "earth song". and "heal the world". Lets not forget about the video he make, those are what legends are made of. I think no one have yet to come close to his video. [iwrite]
I am listening to his music all the time. I will remember Micheal they way I want to remember him. I love his voice and his talent. I am sure that he was able to touch all generations... I know that young people will listen to his music same way the listen to The Beatles.... [polachicago]
Other than watching tv that's all we will be doing. Though I think somewhere I have his single Thriller on record still in my basement. Too bad I still didn't have his "barbie" doll from when I was little, it's worth money now! *LOL* [3SnuggleBunnies]
Hi, I heard the news this morning, and i still can't believe it. The world has lost a great singer. Many wishes to his family and his fans. [homebizz]
what croopoola must people spin. now all in a sudden, everybody love jacko just cause he died. al sharpton, or jesse whatever his name is said it best. the people who are "loving and missing" him now, either didn't pay attention to him when he was alive, or called him what he was....a child molestering freak. everyone needs to review the evidence that was against him. the jury (which is like a lot of star struck people who don't believe that a star can not do any wrong cause they have talent), let him off because of views much like all of yours. i know for a fact that none of you would ever leave your kids alone in bed with michael jackson. even his wife testified in that trial against him. martin bashir spent 7 months with jacko, he said the words out of his mouth that he sleeps with kids. i don't believe that he slept on the floor. we have no proof of that but his word. then again, he is jacko, who has talent, so he could NEVER do such a thing. if it were any one of your kids, you would want to kill him. i am so glad i just don't fall in line with what everyone else thinks. i don't care how unpopular it is. i saw that freak sitting on his couch, holding that 12 year old boy, like it was his gay lover. if he liked men, why didn't he just get a boyfriend...and GROWN UP ONE. who could make those kinds of choices. just don't be so quick to have this situation pull on your heart strings. the chickens has come home to roost. many of you never even liked michael jacko, before you heard he died. [MoonGypsy]
i will remember him for his fantastic music and his soul soothing aura, he was a gentle lovely caring generous man, even if he was accused of doing things to children, i do not believe that he ever did anything but love children, he was an inspiration to many people in this world and he will never be forgotten, i for one will miss him....i believe he is smiling down on our world right now and looking at so many people who are sad that he's gone, i hope he meets all the famous stars while he's in heaven because i reckon it will rock up there with all them superstars, i will miss michael and i hope he guides farrah to heaven with him....he will be sorely missed, it seems pretty unreal right now, it reminds me of when princess diana died, it was unbeleviveable, it took me a few weeks to realise that she had gone too, so i am taking my time trying to get to grips with the death of michael, may he rest in eternal peace... [tattylashes]
Hi, I heard the news this morning, and i still can't believe it. The world has lost a great singer. I wish his family, friends and fans a lot of strength. I am a fan too. [homebizz]
I never knew MJ passed away already. I only heard the news from my brother and really was shocking. For me I will always remember him as a great and talented performer. I like his moves especially the moon walk.sad [rrdelacruz84]
eccentric, unusual, original and legendary. sure, his life wasn't always great. he had financial difficulites, people condemned him but he always remained and will remain king of pop. he was very talented when it came to music and people will remember that [irachx]
In many ways. As a talent, an incredible talent. I was a young teen when thriller hit the scene. Sadly oh so sadly as at the very least a very troubled man who had become the butt of sick jokes. [ersmommy1]
other than the songs he made, i will remember the mummy outfit, the child molestation allegations, the "whitening" [o0jopak0o]
i never got on him from the plastic surgery. i believe that it's your body and money, and you can do whatever you want. if you don't like something about yourself and can change it do it. i have a prob with him getting away with child rape. if you read the website, called NAMBLA (National Association of Man Boy Love), the boy in martin bashir's video, sitting on the couch with jacko, says a mantra that people from that association believes. every parent should go visit that site, as sick as it is. montel williams suggested it, when his program was on. they have ways of convincing kids that being inappropriate with children isn't inappropriate. they fill the kids head up with crap like, the law is wrong and that if a kid thinks that they want to have a physical kind of relationship with a grown, they should be able to as a matter of freedom. the freaks want to use the constitution to say that as long is it is ok, with the child (no matter how how), and the adult involved, then the law should not get involved. the kid in bashir's video with jacko, says he and michael believes that, " you are an adult whenever you feel like one, and you are a child if you feel like one. what kind of isht is that? lookit, another one bites the dust. all child molesters should suffocate in their sleep. [MoonGypsy]
I'll remember him as a great artist. I grew up listening to his songs. At the time Madonna and Whitney Houston were topping the female charts and he dominated the male charts. I never actually know if he was a molester or not, but the songs I heard back then, I can't imagine a criminal sang them. Billie Jean, The Girl is Mine, Someone in The dark (from the movie E.T.), Man in the mirror, Heal the world I remember these songs. Maybe not all of them topped the charts. But even if he is a criminal as they said he is, no one can sing them as good as he did. [LittleMel]
As a cute little boy. As a very talented young man. And as a man who (to all appearances) became stranger and stranger until he died tragically. All those things... [dawnald]
I'm having very mixed feelings about him. I admired him Have as an artist but like may brilliant people he way way off the edge! Not sure yet. Have pc problems so cannot respond as per usual to your posts [cynthiann]
