One of the most shocking stories in the newspapers and the internet, not only here in mylot, is the death of Michael Jackson. I remember The Jackson Five singing with Michael as the front man of the group. But what really made me remember Michael is his voice, singing "Happy", "One Day in Your Life", etc. The voice made an inspiration for me to learn how to sing. But not just learn how to sing, but to sing in good voice, to sing from the heart...

I think I remember him for his Moon Walk or Thriller. It's really sad to know he died so young. [andalond]
Everyone keeps mentioning the song "You and Me" I think I forgot that one. Right now Liza Minnelli is on the news talking about her friendship with him. All these people who really knew him are so hurt by his death. [andalond]
I remember Michael Jackson with his 1982 album which included the block buster hist Beat It, Billie Jean and Thriller remains the biggest selling album of al time with more than 26 million copies. [manayonboy]
Yes, that album. I remember that. That was also the time he made a Pepsi commercial, right? [neildc]
Well i remember him for his music. His concert tours with an overwhelming number of security just to make it push through! His unique dance steps. Everything about music. I don't care much about what's going on with him personally. As a musician, i do believe he's the King of Pop. Nothing compares. He's every 80's child music icon. A lot of kids mimic his moves and some had a kickstart for a music career. Rest in peace Michael! [modstar]
And I am one Michael fan, too. I still do his dance steps whenever I have to do it in some occasions. [neildc]
I will always remember him as a very talented singer which creates an iconic figure for himself as a singer, a songwriter, and also as a dancer. He created moonwalk, making the best selling album of all time, a long-career achievement since a little child, and of course the bizzaro he's created in recent years just making him hard to forget and definitely cemented himself as the world's greatest talent of all time. RIP Jacko. [sophisticated_boy]
Though Michael Jackson does not live a very clean life, I will best remember him as one of the strong forces in the music industry. He will always be a music icon to the millions of people even if he is already at peace. Michael Jackson is the owner of several record breaking album sales and most expensive video ever made. Michael may have done a lot of things that a lot of people does not understand but who can blame him, he has live a life that is full of controversies and intrigues. No matter what Michael will always be a role model to those who believed in him. Dead or alive Michael will always be the king of pop. [mhuy2x]
Hi Neil, Remember A.B.C, Ben and Billy Jean and many more. He will be miss, what a fantastic singer he was and yes he sang it from his heart. Hugs. Tamara [tamarafireheart]
"Give Love on Christmas Day" is the my most favorite song of Michael Jackson. I was so stunned with the exceptional tone of the singer. I got curious who is Michael Jackson and I was surprised to see that he is a simple black boy singing along with his brothers. I have always preferred his original looks and was so disgusted when he opted to transform his looks. [salonga]
Jeeze - I only just heard (couldn't sleep so came here) I thought it was a hoax at first. I love all his 80s stuff - Billy Jean, Thriller ... for me, the dancing was what clinched it, man that guy could dance! [jazzsue58]
We all have a story to tell, this one will go on forever. Elvis, Jame, Marilin, Martin, JFK now Michael. Never ending Story. HICCUP/ [hiccup]
i guess ill remember the King of Pop with his child molestations =P -JOKE- =P [agitot]
When you get that famous it's hard not to go a bit nuts, e.g. Britney Spears. The media and public opinion can blow things all out of proprotion and whip up public appathy. If he wasn't famous it would be harder to doubt his innocence. He was eccentric. Acting like a child, owning his own personal theme park, owning the elephant mans bones, sleeping in an oxygen capsule, sleeping with young friends, (just sleeping) allegidly getting excessive face lifts (although he said he had a skin desease), but people got his eccentricities mixed up with the song "bad," and the allegations of child abuse and started to see him in a damaging image. It's possible he molested those children, but with no proof, why believe it differently that if he were an average person. [singerteen]
i remember Michael Jackson from Thriller he's a king pop star with a great voice very talented (r.i.p) may he rest in peace....... he's in a better place....... [babii_05]
I will always remember him by his moon walk and his one of the famous songs "Dangerous" which has gained great popularity everywhere. I will always remember him by his contributions made in the field of music, there is no one like him and there will be no one like him. His break dance steps were fabulous which became widely known and esteemed among young generation. the world will never see another Michael Jackson and hence his contributions in the field of music is truly memorable. [aritra08]
His music will always remind us his presence and also that he had been always in controversies..No one is this world is like him. He was unique and different. [airakumar]
It is one of the most shocking stories that I have ever heard.... The previous one was that of Kurt Cobain's suicide. It takes a long time for me to believe this fact that MJ died of cardiac arrest..He is my favourite singer and still he is there in my heart. He is immortal.......I cannot stop crying after hearing this news..I am greatly saddened by his sudden demise. I don't think it is the right time to talk about the scandals..Its pathetic to see some people talking about it now. [tuyakiki]
I will remember him for his great singing voice and his cool dance moves. I think he invented the moonwalk. I love listening to his songs and watching his music videos on MTV and on YouTube now. I will surely miss him. R.I.P. King of Pop. [chunijole]
I will remember Michael Jackson as the Jacko, who bleached his skin white and the best moonwalk dancer of all time. Of course, I will remember his songs which are all beautiful and relays humane, romantic and feel good messages but I will also remember his picture of holding a child hanging in the balcony. I will remember my favorite song You Are Not Alone and the disco hits that Jacko had give us. I will remember the man who is called King of Pop. [pinayindutchland]
i remember Michael for his music and dance.sorry to hear his death. [fadetoblack]
I would remember him as a good singer, and i will not talk for now about the controversies of his case on kids. Anyway I will just talk about him as a singer. I remember him singing, Ben, I'll be There, Santa Clause is Coming to Town, Mommy Kissing Santa Claus as his classic songs. About the new songs I like the song Heal the World. I also remember how people dance the hit song of Thriller, Billy Jean, Bad and Black or White. Happy Mylotting. [strawberrychocodahi]
Hi, My sincere condolence and pray that he be rested in the heavenly abode. If anything that crossed my opinion it is that trend setter. No doubt that he was a good singer and good dancer the phenomenal thing that his music brought to Western Music was a new trend. [krajibg]
I think about him most in the period of Thriller. I think that was his best work ever. Although he was so very talented that album was just something that could never be repeated. He was truly one of a kind. Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!! happy [schulzie]
I am from the MTV generation so I remember him most for his videos. He was alway on the cutting edge, Billy Jean, Thriller, and Black and White ( I still remember when that came out and the end of it where the people all morphed into each other )all blew us away when they came out. Even for the few people who didn't like his music liked his videos. I studied video production and his videos were always in our discussions. [punkincat]
Iam a fan of Michael Jackson. I will never forget him. I beleive that he is the best of all the singers. Actually, I bought his CD. I really love it. He voice is really amazing. I will always remember him by listening to all of his songs. [don_naces]
Personally I thought this music sucked and the so called "king of pop" wasn't that great of a singer. I know I'm not being compassionate but frankly I don't care. He was a degenerate and won't be missed by me. [BlueGoblin]
I feel extremely sorry for Michael Jackson, the manner in which his last years were spent amidst the worst kind of malicious gossip and controversies. Just when he was planning to make a come back, he was taken away forever. I have always felt that his was the typical case of a celebrity made, manipulated, and abused by the media and the gossip hungry public. I hope that at least now he finds peace and eternal restconfusedsad [kiran8]
I love his song Ben, as this reminds me of my close and dear friends always. I used to hum this song everytime I'm doing household chores. I used to listen to this song and sing this well although I don't have a very good voice. I also love, One Day in Your Life. I do regretted much being unable to watch his concert, live here in the Phils. as tickets are quite unaffordable during that time. The feeling of happiness however just having him here in our country is great. To everyone's delight, however, the concert was aired on televisions around two weeks after. I would like to remember Michael Jackson more however, in his youth, performing with the Jackson Five. Quite shocked also of his death but it's a consolation for his wonderful music to linger and remain in the hearts of the people throughout. For 50 years he'd been singing to the whole world, maybe it's time for him to sing to the Lord (lol). [bing28]
I will remember MJ with him dancing and him song "Billy Jean" [t3nk0_weed]
I will remember him for the song ABC that he sang with his brother. That is my favorite song of his. [happy6162]
to be honest i was never that big of a michael jackson fan. it wasn't because i didn't like him personally but was not really into his songs. i didn't even want to see the tv today because i knew the michael jackson death would be on so many channels. he had a great impact on many people though. [elmiko]
We cannot forget him , he is the greatest of all , his dance , his singing, and specially his moon walk , wauuuuuuu, and still i cant believe this that he died, he was soo famous that , if you ask a small child from any corner from the world , he also remembers him ........God bless him and but i really appreciate him , that he did many good things before leaving this world........ [shaiksultan]
I prefer to remember Michael Jackson as he was during his earlier years. Regretfully, his later years were too fraught with scandal and self-abuse and he looked too much like a dark-haired Caucasian woman. However, I remember the good old days when Michael Jackson was a fine African-American kid, who spent most of his growing-up years as the cute central figure of the Jackson Five, and then his young adult years in a solo career, perfecting his own dancing and singing style, which would serve as an inspiration for many other singers and video artists. He took pride in his work! Now that is the Michael Jackson that I know and like. By the way, did you know that Michael Jackson and the whole Jackson family may never had made it big in the music and entertainment business if the family television set had not malfunctioned back in the 1960s? Since their father could not afford to have the TV set repaired, the family had to find other ways to entertain themselves, and they finally did so by entertaining others. The Jackson Five group was created in 1967, and the rest is history! [asellah]
I would also like to remember MJ as the one with the African-American figure. Thanks also for the trivia. No one or maybe not lots of people, even fans of MJ knows about this... [neildc]
I think I'd like to remember MJ as a flawed person who still made his share to make this world a better place. Some of his songs like Heal The World, We Are The World, Cry, Man In The Mirror and Earth Song inspired me.. I agree he really sings from the heart and I guess that's the best thing I'd like to remember about him. I'm not a big fan of him, nor I care about his personal life but it cannot be ignored that he has impacted many lives through his music. [cecillecarmela]
Michael will always be in my heart. And I will always remember him for his songs like "I'll Be There", "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough", "Thriller", "Black and White" to name some. [babesdc]
Michael jackson was an inspiration to a lot of people he was a good kind humanitarian, he hated war and loved peace and also sang many songs saying that, he loved his fans and loved to mix with them when he could. He was a child at heart as he had never had a childhood when he was young-his dad took that away from him. My hope is that he will be remembered for the talented unique person he is and was, he was quite an exeptional person,,,LoLo [littleowl]
Dear littleowl, Though lots of people remember the negative sides of MJ, the accusations, etc. I hope his death will erase the negative and people will always remember him with his heart, his music, his songs for peace and the humankind. Neil [neildc]
The first thing I remember about Michael Jackson is his Thriller album. More vividly, I was in a 2 mile fun run. Afterward, they gave out "door prizes". I won a free album at our local music store. My friend's mom, who was driving us, took us right away after the drawing to let me pick out an album. I was young at the time, and didn't really know music too well. But I did know that Michael Jackson was popular and the album was really neat. So I ended up getting his album free. That's one thing I'll never forget. Of course, I'll never forget the MoonWalk and Thriller. [kykidd]
