I am playing some music on my computer and one of my favorite songs is 'Could I have this dance' by Anne Murray. It is just a beautiful songs that tells of people that feel right together and want to be together for the rest of their lives. Nothing fancy, nothing exciting. And the beat is just right to hold someone and dance slow.
And Anne Murray has this beautiful rich voice...

One on One by Daryl Hall and Oates. I love this song, esp the saxophone solo, makes me feel romantic and it's so sexy. Kinda like worship for women song. Also, Anyone can See by Irene Cara. I have lots of romantic songs that I love listening to. Most are classics.Classic are amazing. No matter how many time I listen to this, it is always refreshing. My choice for classics are song like Seal it a kiss (Bobby Vinton), Close to you (Carpenters) and Unchained Melody. Modern days songs are awesome too. He's Polish? I never know that. I listen to Bobby Vinton since I was a kid. My sister and I have wierd tendency to listen to BBC at that time and that not even our local station, we just found it by mistake, that's how we first listen to the song. Seal It With A Kiss is our all time favourite. Carpenters are awesome. They made great songs. I don't know about connection with prison and Unchanged Melody but everytime I listen to the song, I remember Ghost. Westlife are UK group. You can find lots of beautiful songs from them. [prinzcy]
I have not thought of a favorite because that would be too hard for me since I iike so many of the good love songs. I do love Could I Have This Dance by Anne Murray also. My youngest daughter used to always say that was going to be her first dance at her wedding with her husband......she didn't know at the time that she would end up marrying a guy who is like her dad and don't dance. They also didn't have a big wedding as he is out of the state and out of the country so much they just had a small ceremony with no dance. [tyc415]

I actually have two favorite romantic songs that get me all mushy. The first one is Save the Best for Last by Vanessa Williams. It's just so simple and sweet that it gets me everytime. I like Ronan Keating's "If Tomorrow Never Comes". I have it in my computer and in my mobile phone. Like you, I like Anne Murray too. Most of her songs are sentimental, meaningful and most of all romantic. Songs like You Needed Me, I Just Fall In Love Again, Could I Have This Dance, Broken Hearted Me are just my favorites where I will repeatedly listen without second consideration and ever get bored or wane with them. Her voice is so melodic, natural, mellow, flawless and effortless. Her music videos are just equally delightful and her singing is just down to earth without any tinge of packaging, masking or some special effect packaging. I must single out her hit song Just Another Woman In Love, where it is my all time favorite. This songs speaks a lot about me especially my love life. I would recommend you to have a go with it as the tune is exquisitely romantic and inspirational. The lyrics is just meaningful and about me - Strong, in control and living a life believing life is like a package I hold in my hand. But when I fall in love, I am like a kid just out of school, fire out of control, just another fool and I cannot wait for my man's loving touch again. Simply a beautiful and meaningful song, another Anne Murray's signature I must say. So, if you have not listen to this one, then my best advice here is don't miss it. [artemeis]

for me lately i like the music of jason mraz "I'm yours". it has wonderful beath and lyrics to it. i memorized some of the lines and it is quite difficult to sing at first cause it is quite fast and it is hard to memorize the lyrics. but i know not half of the song lyrics. and feels great to be able to sing it. I always loved that song, ever since Urban Cowboy. And I agree with you I always like her voice. There are so many 'romantic' songs that I like, but I think at the top of the list is Elton John "Can you feel the Love tonight" from the Lion King. My fiance (yes Charlotte I said it LOL) and I have a special connection to that movie, and I'm thinking about making that our 'first' dance.
