I recently purchased my first MP3 player and have been listening to more music than I usually do because it's now so easy to carry it with me. I love music and can't stand driving my car without the stereo going. I just got the new Evanescense CD The Open Door and have been listening to it in my car. What's in your car stereo?

Currently, I have a mix that I created from some of my favorite songs. It saves me from having to change different Cd's and no risk of me messing around in the car looking for the CD I want. I don't want that song right now, press the skip button. I have the radio button memorized so I know just where all the buttons are without looking. I have this thing about not messing with the radio when I am driving. A friend of mine when I was in the military...her son ran head on into a tree because he was messing with his radio and just lost control for some reason....he never even made it until the paramedics got there. My car doesn't have a CD player so I use a tape adapter to plug my mp3 player into it. That usually works pretty well other than having to adjust playlists and tracks while driving. [MrNiceGuy]
I have the Dixie Chicks in mine. I only have a few in the car. Two of them are Christmas cd's. Bing Crosby and Sarah MacLachlan. Guess I can take them out now. [ElusiveButterfly]
Well, I don't have a CD in my car, but my mom has her own CD in her car. I like listening to the radio better, but sometimes it is good to have a back up if there is nothing to listen to on the radio!! :D [rsmith512]

I have a whole holdall full of cds ready to play in the car, most if not all of them are 80s music. Currently I am listening to The Pretenders, with Chrissie Hynde, fantastic. I love the Pretenders, Back on The Chain Gang, I've got you babe. I think I've had the same cd in my car stereo for a week now, I never get fed up with them or the 80s. I also have an Ipod Nano which I use solely for the gym, and yes, that too has 80s music on it! [wolfie34]

Ohh dear .. I am going to have to make a confession ... I got my new car at the end of April 2005 ... it was the first time I'd had a car with a CD player .. now I think folks are starting to see how forgetful I am with my fibro .. and I bet you can guess what's coming next ... Blushes profusely ... to date I haven't yet flippin' remembered to take a CD with me to the car !!! I don't even know if the CD system it works .. I don't use my car very much and I have quite a long walk along an awkward uphill sloping pathway to my car so I simply can't walk all the way back down just to get a CD .. I keep saying NEXT time .. and here I am almost two years later and still haven't tried it out ... But I always put the radio on, doesn't matter what's playing really, just as long as it's 'pop music' of some description :o) >>> and I am now going to go and sort out some CD's to take up to the car as I will be driving it tomorrow !! currently my cd that is in my car is a new cd of a band in South Africa, they consist of three guys, one being extremely hot and their music is in afrikaans and english, i live in Durban and i bought the cd in Pretoria when i was on holiday and visiting a friend, i missed their concert which is in Pretoria on 5 February 2007 :( [mlkfaith7]

In my car cd player is Rascal Flats.. Me and my gang. I love the cd.. Life is a Highway, Me and My gang, Country song backwards.. Usually I buy a cd when I like 1 or 2 songs-- but really the whole cd is great! I'm like you- I have to have music on when I'm driving- It makes the drive quicker. I have MP3 desk with lots of songs from different categories. So I can't actually tell with CD is currently in my cars play right now. I love both Hindi and English songs and I have special interest in instrumental songs. And I feel they are very comfortable and enjoyable when a person is driving course to because they don't divert your mind from driving which is very essential while driving a car. [amitavroy]

The CD that is in my car stereo is a round one. It has got a silvery shine all over it, and it also has a hole in the center ! ;-) When I push the "start" button I hear Ennio Morricone's theme of "The Good, the Bad & the Ugly" and then suddenly someone yells "one, two, three, four". Currently I think we have Kansas in. One of their older albums, Point of No Return. I love the songs on there. I also have a disk I made up with a ton of MP3's that I play a lot as well.
