every (well almost) song that we listen to has some sort of musical instrument along with the vocals whether it be guitar (acoustic or electric), piano, or whatever. what type of instrument do you like to listen to?
for me, i have to say i love piano (especially in classical music) but i also like the clarinet (i am a huge jazz lover) but i also like salsa music so i would have to say drums are a large part of that.

My favourite musical instrument is the piano. I like playing the piano and I like to listen to the huge variety of piano music. My favourite composers include Frederic Chopin, Ludwig van Beethoven and Johan Sebastian Bach. I have an upright Kawai piano which I love to play - although I would really like to have a grand piano! I am such a rock junkie so I am addicted to beautiful guitar riffs. I'd have to say electric-guitar. But I love the complimentary drums, keyboards and bass. But I love any kind of guitar and I also love harmonica. I like a good rock n' roll combination with piano, harmonica and guitar. I love the guitar. I have an electric guitar and accoustic guitar. I think that's the major instrument in the band, we can learn music from the guitar, like the melody sinchronization. If you an expert in guitar, almost of other instrument you can learning easily such a bass and piano and even singing. [icecubic]
Hello Cher. I am a music addict too. I like listening to all kinds of music. My favorite music ofcourse is classical music. And there, my favorite musical instrument is the harp. I cannot play it myself, but I like the sound so musch, very pleasant and enchanting. I have a collection of CDs of classical music, and the harp in the orchestras. [greenline]

So it would depend on what type of music I'm listening to which type of instrument is my favorite! I love electric guitar and electric piano and also drums! Guess I would have to say the electric guitar. Also love to hear piano keyboard play all kinds of music. I am not one to listen to jazz or any kind of classical music. My preference is the oldies from the 1960's which really introduced rock and roll. This is the era I grew up and continue to listen to the music. [carolbee]
there are time where i like fiddle violin cause the music make me alive but there are also times where i like flute music cause it is much gentle to the ear and to the soul i can relax by just hearing the sound of flute [gx7001lm]
Mine is the banduria because it's the only instrument I can play. I started playing it when I was in grade 4. Then, my grandfather taught me one piece which he played when he was young and when he wasn't deaf yet. I still remember that piece and I can still play it now. [wookieekyut]
Drums!wub. . . i play them, and a little bit of guitar too, just the rhythm part.. well piano is an awesome instrument i have to agree, my grandfather and great grandfather used to play them, they were both music composers.. well they also played violin.. na not that big music composers, they had the knowledge of music and we mostly played for the church. When it comes to listen to music, my favourite sounds are the ones produced by string instruments. For example, piano, guitar, violin, etc. For some reason the sounds produced by strings always go deeper on me, and I enjoy them more than other instruments. [madteaparty]

Well, its difficult to me to choose a musical instrument from big list of them . Usually I like guitar for its all type of version ..whether its acoustic or electric . hammered dulcimer yes they have beautifull and distinctive sound...i remember hearing hammered dulcimer playing the intro song on crocketts victory garden. the first one i'd seen up close,was in indiana,at fiddler's gathering,the dlcimer player was sitting on a stump and hemmering some enchanting sounds. i hear they're a bear to tune. you did not put down a jews herp,my grand dad use to play one. i think i must have false teeth. when you use to play it first time,invariably the snap bar will snap against your teeth. Cher...I am with you, piano is one of my very favourite....but there is one instrument that brings back such special memories...the piccolo! How you say? Many, many years ago, a dear friend got married on a very remote Island. All attendees brought their own tent, water, etc. A huge firepit, side of beef...you get the picture. The wedding afternoon, night...it poured rain..but we danced at sang..had a wonderful time. The next morning, crack of dawn..the sun came out brilliantly...roosters crowing, and sitting on the sidehill was the new brother-in-law playing absolutely beautiful tunes on the piccolo. Some time ago I bought an electronic keyboard and I know that they have been in existence for a long time now but this is the first time I've experienced an electronic keyboard and I can tell you, I'm hooked for life!happy. I have been learning how to play for a couple of months now and I get so much pleasure from it. I'm learning how to play a couple of classical pieces like Fur Elise which was composed by Beathoven or was it Mozart! I don't remember but the keyboard is good like this as it teaches you how to play different kinds of music. Anyway, I practise every few days and it started from having a slight interest to now taking it up as a serious hobby! I really love playing my guitar (acoustic one). I had this passion of learning music right from my early age and my family was very supportive. So i had this unknown likeing for guitar at the beginning but later it turned out to be a part of my life. Ever since my sister started to play the piano, I hated the noise of that thing so much that I told her that if she didn't stop playing, I would break that "hunk of junk". My favorite is the guitar. Not only is it cheaper but you can take it almost everywhere. You can do away with almost all the instruments but just the guitar and you can still appreciate the music. I have to go along with you and give several different answers. I love the piano but I also like the drums and some of the different beats that are given in the different types of music. I always love piano and violin. It always looks elegant playing those 2 instruments. I love classical and classical crossover, and those 2 instruments are important in these style. I can play organ, and plan to learn piano, but havent got time yet :) About violin, I think I cannot play it, because it requires you to be exact in every movement, or you will mis-play a note. Also, the first year of playing violin always ends up in the sounding like a cat (miaoo) I love drum to. I once came across Taiko - a Japanese kind of drum - performed by Yoshida (Rising Sun) and its powerful rhythm got me totally :) About guitar, I used to dislike it (for no reason), but now I like it.
