What Is Your Wedding Song

I don't have any wedding song but I was thinking, if ever I'll have the chance to re-marry one day, I want the song entitled "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You" to be performed live

I was so scared I don't remember much except that I sweated a lot. I think I was in a fog all night. [lotterylover]
That was funny. LOL. Thanks. [hersmart4ever]

My friend the Musician has a song on his cd called "Hello and Welcome " and I love the song so much as it has the words " Hello and welcome to the rest of my life" I told him it would make a great wedding song, to my surprise he said "are you kidding, that song is about a man getting out of jail" I guess I didn't exactly to all the words... but I had to laugh he came up to me at one of his gigs and said "guess what ? I have just been booked for a wedding, to sing Hello and welcome" hahahahah so I said "you should always listen to women when it comes to sentiments of songs....I have not let him forget...hahahahahh [lilaclady]
Well I guess the great tune and the words "hello and welcome to the rest of my life" was enough for me...hahahaha [lilaclady]

We were married by the Marriage Commissioner so did not have a wedding song. If my husband dies, and I marry again, I want to have "The Wedding Song" the one sung by Peter, Paul, and Mary. That has always been my favorite. [suspenseful]
That was a very wonderful song. I love it too. [hersmart4ever]

You Light Up My Life for one wedding, and Islands In the Stream with my last marriage. [OreoCookie3]
Yep it's me. I was due for a change. [OreoCookie3]

We had a non-traditional wedding and my friend who is a JP conducted the ceremony. Instead of traditional vows, my husband recited the lyrics to a song and I recited a poem. In a way, that song is our wedding song, we listen to it often. It's "Such Great Heights" by The Postal Service. A bit of it so you can see why we like it: I am thinking it's a sign that the freckles in our eyes are mirror images and when we kiss they're perfectly aligned. And I have to speculate That God himself did make us into corresponding shapes like puzzle pieces from the clay [Rollo1]
That was something very sweet. I figured out it was a very memorable wedding. [hersmart4ever]

My wedding song was "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica..MY husband picked it out. But it all turn out wonderful. [mystic_0318]
I should find that song in YouTube or Limewire. Metallica is great. [hersmart4ever]

I really like that song, it is nice. I am not yet married, but I would like for my wedding song to be "Here And Now," by: Luther Vandross. I think that is the most beautiful wedding like song that I have ever heard. [Rozie37]
Im also gonna listen to that song. Hmmm...I hope this doesn't mean a next weddingis comng my way. Oh no. [hersmart4ever]

This is the song from our first dance as husband and wife..and it just feels right..I can still remember the feeling.. "Feels like home" There's something in your eyes Makes me wanna lose my self, Makes me wanna lose myself in your heart, There's something in your voice That makes my heart beat fast Hope this feeling lasts For the rest of my life If you knew how lonely My life has been And how long I've been so alone And if you knew how I wanted someone to come along And change my life the way you've done It feels like home to me It feels like home to me It feels like I'm all the way back where I come from It feels like home to me It feels like home to me It feels like I'm all the way back where I belong A window breaks down on lumdard street And a siren rings in the night But I'm all right cuz I have you here with me, And I can almost see through the dark there is light Well if you knew how much this moment means to me And how long I've waited for your touch And if you knew how happy you are making me I never thought that I'd love anyone so much [cefaz_21]
The lyrics of that song was really moving. Fit for a wedding. [hersmart4ever]

our theme song as a couple was "i didn't know i was looking for love til i found you" by ebtg. but during our wedding, we danced our first dance to "the way you look tonight". it was really romantic. :) [ctv101103]
our theme song is "when i see you smile"... On our wedding day this coming May, that will be the background song on our video slides. But on our first dance, as a husband and wife, i'd like to dance with him to "the way you look tonight". i really love that song. [g3raldin3]

Hi, My husband and i got married at the registry office so we didn't pick any song out as we forgot to, but the office played Whitney Houston's "I will always love you" as we started the ceremony, which we both hated at the time. Haha. We still don't like that song, but every time we hear it we always think of our wedding, so i guess it's good in a way, that it makes us think of our wedding and have a laugh ;) [azumarisan]
That would indeed make you laugh. Imagine, playing a song you dont like during your wedding? LOL. [hersmart4ever]

Oh my gosh this is going to sound horrible, but I seriously don't remember. I think the lady who did my music played 'Endless Love' or something like that. Now I feel absolutely horrible for not remembering, but if I asked my husband I'm sure he wouldn't either. LOL [gingisnapz]
Horrible indeed. LOL. Thanks for the response. [hersmart4ever]

i do not remember my wedding song. i was too busy glaring at the best-man who have tendency to run off with the wedding ring or worst ...my wife to be! [sandwedge]
LOL okay another one from you. [hersmart4ever]

I would chose 'For All of My Life' for my wedding song whenever we're going to renew our vows, soon. :-) [add_im]
Good luck for that day. THanks. [hersmart4ever]

We don't have personalized wedding songs but just the usual folk wedding songs, I weddings are more of a family affair with the priest performing all the ceremonies and live or recorded music in the background. [dbhattji]
Yeah I heard about Indian weddings and I wanted to witness one. [hersmart4ever]

I respect for your brilliant idea. All marriage couple should have one "Marriage Anthem", respectively. Really you are HERSMART4EVER....Salute!!! [michaeldadona]
Thank you again Michael. [hersmart4ever]

I am not a country music fan by no means, but 1 month before I had my wedding a friend played this song for me and right then I knew it was the one for me. I still tear up listening to it. It's Shania Twain - From This Moment On Here is a video of it so you can hear it if you have never heard this song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8qj2MzIlJw [sunshinecup]
From this moment life has begun... Hey Ive seen the video. Very moving. [hersmart4ever]

Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton. We chose this because when we first met, every time we went out they played it. [badkat83]

I am divorced, but when we got married it was by a justice of the peace at city hall. And we had alittle gathering at my parents after. So no song. But if I ever married again I would want "Wedding Day" by the Bee Gees. [isaiah12]

hey! i am not married yet! but can i still answer this question? LOL In the future, i would want to play the song " swear it again" by westlife? i think.. a very sweet song! while i am walking down the aisle! wow.. excited while thinking about it! [pinkhour]
I do not know the song although I had known many songs from West Life. Anyway, if it's from West Life it must be good. [hersmart4ever]

uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhh!!!! Great views... That song is really cool... even I do like that song... I wish u get re-married once again... AAAAH!!!! Enjoy [ice2cool]

I'm not married, so this doesn't apply. I haven't thought of a wedding song. It's not something I think about by myself, first I have to find the one I'll marry. [stvasile]
Lol. Yes, stvasile, that is a good place to start. [makingpots]

Our wedding song is Amanda Marshall's "Marry Me". This song is totally about us, my husband and I married for our family not us, we where happy as we where. When we married we wanted nothing special, no dress, no fuss just us and special people and that was it. [addysmum]
That appears to be a simple wedding which brought great results. [hersmart4ever]

When I get married I would love to have "As the World Falls Down" by David Bowie and from the movie Labyrinth. I love that movie and that scene is amazing. My other choice is [Withoutwings]
What a coincidence. I have seen that movie when I was so much younger. I remembered David Bowie played the role of the Goblin King there. I like that song. [hersmart4ever]

In India, you feel find thousands of wedding songs. It's a part of tradition and these songs are sung during wedding ceremony. Actually, there are many traditional ceremonies to be performed before marriage and we have different songs for each ceremony. Most of these songs are ages old and they still sound very relative today also. [BeachLover]
Wow this makes me wanna witness a real Indian wedding. [hersmart4ever]

I had a song titled "In This Very Room" sung at my wedding. It was performed during the ceremony itself. I did not have dancing at my wedding reception so there was no DJ or anything. I had a friend playing background piano music during the reception. [makingpots]

A boy in grade 4 that i taught sang this song at my wedding decades ago ...It was in a Catholic Church and yes indeed it was not sung in English yet we were all English speaking ...Latin was the rage in Catholic churches at the time ....boy does that age me .. Ave Maria (Franz Shubert) Ave Maria Gratia plena Maria, gratia plena Maria, gratia plena Ave, ave dominus Dominus tecum Benedicta tu in mulieribus Et benedictus Et benedictus fructus ventris Ventris tuae, Jesus. Ave Maria Ave Maria Mater Dei Ora pro nobis peccatoribus Ora pro nobis Ora, ora pro nobis peccatoribus Nunc et in hora mortis Et in hora mortis nostrae Et in hora mortis nostrae Et in hora mortis nostrae Ave Maria [vmks31]

I am still single and if I am going to marry I love the song of Jim Brickman The Love I Found in YOu. I like the lyrics of the the song and the melody. Its like very meaningful. The Love I found in YOu You are the air I need I breathe You are the river of life inside of me You are the half that made me whole You are the anchor of my soul chorus: You strong when I am weak You are the words when I cdan't speak You never fail to see me through That's the love I found in you You are my shelter from the storm You are the road that leads me home Baby, with you here face to face I know I've found my place (Sax solo) Bridge: Once in every life You find the one that's right When you say forever it's true That's the love I found in you chorus You strong when I am weak You are the words when I cdan't speak You never fail to see me through That's the love I found in you [Zelmarq]

my wedding song was can i have this dance by ann murray it still makes me cry..... [punlonnjack]

Ours was by Taylor Dayne "I'll always love you" It's a very beautiful slow song in which I picked out. The lyrics really says it all. "I'll always love you. For the rest of my days.... You have made my life complete.... with your sweet and sexy ways" [CatsandDogs]

The bf and I are planning to get married but it won't be a church wedding so I guess I will never hear my wedding song. But I have always loved this particular country song that even before I had a boyfriend, I have already marked it to be my wedding song. Too bad, it won't have the chance to be played during the marriage ceremony. Nevertheless, I will forever call it my wedding song. The title of the song is: "There's Only You" by Kevin Sharp. Lyrics are as follows: In every life they say One perfect love comes your way I know for my heart that's true There's only you When sorrow brings me pain If teardrops fall like rain Who else can i turn to There's only you Every night i thank the lord above For giving you to me All my life i'll give you all my love True and faithfully So darlin' say you'll stay Don't take your love away I'll never find someone new There's only you [mari_skye]

if ever i get married i wanna sing the song "grow old with you" and "everytime i close my eyes" to the lucky guy who will make me say yes to marriage..i wanna be the one to sing the song for him coz i was blessed with a good voice :).. [angel_of_charm]

wELL If.. If I will be going to marry someone(which is impossible) I would like to walk aling the ilse with the song "MOON RIVER" it could be the intrumental version or thw one with the vocal. I'm a rock music fan but I also have a softer side. EXTRA: And speaking ofsongs while with special moment... when I die I would like to be buried with the song "SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW"...hehehe. [lossforredwords]
I dont know if its a coincidence that I know both song well and I always sing them here at home. I could sing for you both when you get married and when you.... [hersmart4ever]

The song my wife and I had for our wedding was Ronan Keating's 'When you say nothing at all', and it always makes us smile when we hear it now! [muscare]

If ever I would get married, my wedding song would be "On This Day" by David Pomeranz. I wish my groom would be the one singing it (recorded of course) [carol_m]
I hope your wish will be granted. THanks for the response. [hersmart4ever]

My wedding song wouldbe Allmy life from Kc-ci and Jojo. Since the first day I heard that song (10 years ago) I said it would b my song. But I'M not that sure my oyfriend want that song since he doesnt really know it and don't really understand english, so he can't understand the meaning of the song for me :P [beyonce03]

My first wedding was at City Hall so there wasn't a song. My second wedding we had "We've only Just Begun," by the carpenters. My third wedding was, "Always and Forever." The fourth was, "You're the Inspiration." [cyntrow]

I want Boyz2Men singing down on bended knee that is the song I want played. [jiffys_frog_woman]

I have a weeding song on my wedding, but that is in hindi. and I think don't understand that. ok thanks [brijlesh]

We didn't have a wedding song. We do have a song that we consider "our" song, though. It is by JoDee Messina, and it is called "Because You Love Me." Here are the words to that song: Because You Love Me (John Scott Sherrill/Kostas) I don't know how I survived In this cold and empty world For all this time I only know that I'm alive Because you love me When I recall what I've been through There's some things That I wish I didn't do Now I do the things I do Because you love me And now that you're in my life I'm so glad I'm alive 'Cause you showed me the way And I know now how good it can be Because You love me And now that you're in my life Oh, I'm so glad I'm alive 'Cause you showed me the way And I know now how good it can be Because you love me I believe in things unseen I believe in the message of a dream And I believe in what you are Because you love me With all my heart and all my soul I'm loving you and I never will let go And every day I'll let it show Because you love me Because you love me Because you love me [TeresaK]
That was a touching song. Nice pick for a wedding music. Thanks for the response. [hersmart4ever]

Our wedding song was "How do I live without you" By lean rimes... We love the song so much [jhanna]

well, in India, during marriage there are so many songs being played, so i cant point out any particular wedding song [gharinder]

At Last by Etta James. Listen to the words and you'll see why. It's beautiful, haunting, and very romantic. "At last, my love has come along, my lonely days are over..." etc. [thescribbler]

We never thought of a wedding song when we got married. We just went to the court house and got it done and over with. No reception or anything. [blackbriar]

What a dreamy discussion is that you ever started. It sounds good. Time dropping in the ocean of centuries, along with our dreams, our desires. Can we catch it to get our love? It was possible and it is just possible. Wish you good luck hersmart4ever. [sheenshaukat]

Hi. mine was I WILL BE HERE. It's really a romantic and at the same time a spiritual song. Funny, but I forgot who the original artist was, with all the revivals. LOL. Some lines go: "tomorrow morning when you wake up and the sun does not appear, I will be here. if in the dark you loose sight of love, hold my hand coz I will be here... [inday312saylon]

In thought a wedding song was supposed to be chosen by the couple...not by one person. I guess you must not be happily married now if you think about "the chance to re-marry one day" or maybe you'd like to re-marry your present husband. Whatever, good luck. [MsTickle]

Matt Costa's These Arms and Gavin Degraw's More Than Anyone are just a few songs I'd like to hear on my wedding day. And there's also this Tallywood quartet instrumental compilation of versions of different alternatives songs that would be a little different from what you usually hear during weddings. [dianne17k]

The song that was played at our wedding was At Last by Etta James. It would have been nice if she could have performed the song at our wedding live but she is long dead now. That would be exciting having your favorite singer comes to sing at your wedding. That is just something!!! [Lydia1901]

Lol that's wonderful, hope you remarry soon and send me a recording of this song, i have many friends in your country, wish to meet you soon, well i am hindu from india, we don't have wedding songs. Thank you so much for starting this nice discussion here. happy keep sharing, happy posting, have a great day, cheersrasp ARUN [arun2009]
