My friend the Musician has a song on his cd called "Hello and Welcome " and I love the song so much as it has the words " Hello and welcome to the rest of my life" I told him it would make a great wedding song, to my surprise he said "are you kidding, that song is about a man getting out of jail" I guess I didn't exactly to all the words... but I had to laugh he came up to me at one of his gigs and said "guess what ? I have just been booked for a wedding, to sing Hello and welcome" hahahahah so I said "you should always listen to women when it comes to sentiments of songs....I have not let him forget...hahahahahh [lilaclady]

We had a non-traditional wedding and my friend who is a JP conducted the ceremony. Instead of traditional vows, my husband recited the lyrics to a song and I recited a poem. In a way, that song is our wedding song, we listen to it often. It's "Such Great Heights" by The Postal Service. A bit of it so you can see why we like it: I am thinking it's a sign that the freckles in our eyes are mirror images and when we kiss they're perfectly aligned. Hi, My husband and i got married at the registry office so we didn't pick any song out as we forgot to, but the office played Whitney Houston's "I will always love you" as we started the ceremony, which we both hated at the time.
