My favorite, if I had to choose only one, is Country. I have been a country music fan for the majority of my life, and will continue to be. I do also like other types of music but my radio is forever tuned to the country station. [sunnypub]

mine is progressive rock. If you're not sure what that is, it's rock usually dosn't have a regular beat, the sogs are sometimes 7, 8 minutes long and almost always has keyboards. Examples would be Yes, Emerson, lake & Palmer and Pink Floyd. [marty3888]

For me the best genre is Jazz rock/fusion from the early 70´s, this period was the most creative period in the history of non comercial music. Also there were a lot of different influences in that style of music. There were so many great talented musicians gathering together in several groups those days and they had much more musical freedom to do their own thing. [Lewah69]

Probably rock, yes, most definately rock. It's awesome, it can be energizing, it can pump you up, or it can soothe you. Plus, if you play any instruments, its REALLY fun to play, and its easy to start a band! [pohaynerop2]

My favorite genre within music is industrial metal. I just love the electronic sounds mixed with effective guitar riffs and a mesmerizing drum beat. Rammstein are the perfect example of what I think music should be all about. But I do have an extensive music taste and can appreciate most genres in music, minus rap and hip-hop, which I believe to be cheap and require few or none talent at all. [Eisenherz]
