Well Michael jackson has many popular songs, but omy favorite is Heal The World. Based on the title i know that it has something to do with our world. And when i heard the song i found it nice and very touching. This is a song of Michael that always remarkable for me because way back 1996 Michael had concert in the Philippines, one reporter ask him whats song should he dedicated to the filipinos and he said heal the world, from that i love the song more =) [kmaram]
This is a very nice song, he was able to unite great artists just for this song and its a constant reminder to all of us and it should be always in our minds to heal the world, make it a better place for you and for me and the entire human race. Wow, what a song, its all about starting in each and everyone of us, to share it to others but sad to say, there are slefish people and think only of themselves thats why there are a lot of people who suffer in silence. Thank you for sharing and have a nice day my friend. [Zelmarq]
I used to love his song, Thriller. I liked alot of his songs though and have forgotten some of their names now. I used to have some of his music but it got stolen over the years. [stephcjh]
Its a cool song with a very cool music video. He dance steps really are signature dance steps and makes him different from all of the rest. Thank you for sharing and have a nice day! God bless! [Zelmarq]
BILLY JEAN was my favourite but today i did watch a magazine show and they did play such a great song it was like pop rock and he was on stage perfoming and they dint say the name of the song..so i would just say he has left loads and loads of great songs. [deewinc]
Another nice song from michael, its truly wonderful to note that almost all of his songs are great and have made great sales as well. Have a nice day and take care. Thank you for sharing. [Zelmarq]
In fact Michael Jackson did have many great songs, it is very difficult to choose which is the best one. Perhaps I will select Beat it. It is a classical song of Michael Jackson and its MTV is great. He is always the unique. I love China [youless]
Its also nice with all the dance moves of michael. Thank you for sharing and have a nice day! [Zelmarq]
Hi Zelmarq! He has many good songs and all of songs are favorite to me. 'Men in the mirror, I am bad, Bill Jean etc may be considered best songs to me. Have a very nice day. [aminul8427]
I guess his songs are all nice and we just have to ennumerate them and realized all of his songs touched our hearts, they all have stories to tell and share. [Zelmarq]
I liked his song 'you are not alone' because the words in the title really speaks to me about things when I miss someone or when I'm feeling lonely. It's sad to know that he's gone. I wasn't around in the Elvis era, I was sort of part of the reign of MJ but I was a 90s kid but he still made and sold records in my time. He was such an amazing person! He's multitalented and generous. [LifeGuru]
The song is for himself, i know some how he was expressing his feelings through his songs. We cant deny that he was also a victim. [Zelmarq]
I have quite a few. I like his ballads mostly. Check out on youtube: Someone in the dark (E.T.), The Girl is mine, Blood on the dance floor, Man in the mirror, One day in your life and Rock With you They are my favourites. I was hoping to get his new album but I guess it will never happen [LittleMel]
Dear Zelmarq, This is a good discussion. Like you, I, too grew up listening to MJ's songs. Even though I'm not an ardent fan of him, but I like his songs very much. He is one of those musician who really passionate about their music and we can feel it in the way he sang all of his songs. I also like Ben, and it's such a sad song. I know that song was actually a title song for the movie BEN (a movie about a kid and his relationship with a rat - this is actually a very sad film). Other MJ's songs that I like includes all songs about love and peace in the world...So, that means I like all of his songs...:-) To Michael Jackson, thank you for sharing with us your dreams, inspirations and hopes in your songs. Even though you're not with us now, but your songs will carry your legacy forever... - R.I.P. MJ - [neoplanet9]
I love 99% of his songs. My favorite is man in the mirror. I like Ben also. What a talented man he was. [venshida]
I have lots of favorites.I have grown up watching the music videos of Michael Jackson. My favorite among favorites would be Billie Jean and my favorite music video of his would be Smooth Criminal. It is my all time favorite as well. [Shames]
man in the mirror thriller to be honest though, i thought many of his songs were great. he really was the 'king of pop' and a legend for the music industry. its a shame. i dont think many music artists can compare really. [irachx]
I have many, too many to really pick just one. But I will pick "Got To Be There" because it was an early song, and maybe the first time the beauty of that child's voice first impressed me. As I recall, "Ben" was about a rat, wasn't it the theme song to "Willard"? Yes, his voice was very touching in that song as well. [Apple1]
"Human Nature" is my favorite MJ song. When I was younger, it was "Thriller" and "Beat It", although the video for "Thriller" scared the dickens out of me back then. lol I also like "Gone Too Soon" and "Bad". [coolcoder]
And so did I. :) Even though I enjoy all of his songs, I have to say that I have 2 personal favorites. The first is "EARTH SONG" & the second is "GHOST". May the man finally rest in peace & with the unconditional Luv from God. :) Thankyou for asking. :D [simplegurl1969]
My favourite song is Billie Jean, I like the faster more up tempo stuff. He had so many great songs though, the man was a legend. [android]
I liked the ones with a beat they are th eones I remember the most like beat it. thriller and cant think of another one. I ws listening to the radio that night after he passe and all they were playing were his somg but I really didnt reaconized any of tehm BUt my daughter did . [Lakota12]
"Billie Jean" . Whenever I think of Micheal Jackson this song comes in to my mind. What a classy beat.I just love those vocal hiccups of MJ.Billie Jean. This song won two Grammy awards and this song is one of the main reasons for making the album Thriller the all time best seller. The irony is that MJ dod not like this song and wanted to scrap it odd the album.Isn't it strange? [balasri]
I was not really a big fan. I did like "Thriller" and "Beat it" [jillmalitz]
hmmm i am a fan of michael jackson and there are a lot of songs thta he sang that i like. lets start with someone in the dark and OST of the movie Mac and Me, i also love farewell my summer love i was young back then lol. i just can't stop loving you is also one of my favorite songs, anothre part of me, the way you make me feel, do the bart man is a cool one, JAM with michael jordan, and of course PYT pretty young thing. i danced that when i was in high achool on our family reunion. [roniroxas]
mj passed away his comtribution to the pop music world was great i like thriller ,man in the mirror etc.. [venkittaraman]
I would have to say Smooth Criminal. Truth is, I never truly saw Michael as the star that most people came to know because by the time I got to see him, he was already is his later appearance. But all the same, I immediately known that he was a genius just listening to the songs while being made to move by his dance acts. It was only during my later grade school years that I saw the young MJ, with the help of MTV of course. Thriller was undoubtedly hard to beat not to mention Billy Jean. But the one that I was addicted to as a child was the one with the music video of him appearing and disappearing while dancing. It was set in an Egyptian palace with pharaohs. Would you happen to know which song that was? [posham]
i like so many of them that it would be hard to just pick one that is my favorite. more than his music i loved to watch him dance. he is an incredible dancer. so fluid and so flexible. it is envious from a point of view where i cannot do any of the moves he does. i would love to be able to do the moon walk. he will be so sorely missed. [mikeysmom]
My favorite MJ songs are heal the world, we are the world, have you seen my childhood and man in the mirror. when it comes to music videos what i like most is his "you rock my world". he's really an amazing total performer.. he have influenced many contemporary artists and he really has a great voice and originality with his compositions and performances.. you can easily distinguish when it comes from him.. =D however there are also some songs he made i don't like and basically i like his songs about world peace and those songs which has beautiful meaning. the song "have you seen my childhood" is a heavy song and quite a tearjerker as it talks about his painful childhood.. =( [cecillecarmela]
heal d world & beat it stand out to be the best amongst kings of pops greatest hits!!!!.....by dying he has left a big hole in the history of music world that will be filled by none...... other than his passed soul!!!!!!!! [twinklee]
there is a movie entitled "E.T" and there is a song that he made just for that movie and it is entitle "someone in the dark" . this has been included in the re-release of his album thriller. this is the michael jackson song i like. [tigerdragon]

Jackson released his eighth album Dangerous in 1991. As of 2008, Dangerous has shipped 7 million copies in the U.S. and has sold 32 million copies worldwide; it is the most successful new jack swing album of all time.[28][76][77] In the US, the album's first single "Black or White" was the album's biggest hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and remaining there for seven weeks, with similar chart performances worldwide.[78] The album's second single "Remember the Time" spent eight weeks in the top five in the US, peaking at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.[15] In 1993, Jackson performed the song at the Soul Train Awards in a wheelchair, saying he had suffered an injury in rehearsals.[79] In the UK and other parts of Europe, "Heal the World" was the biggest hit from the album; it sold 450,000 copies in the UK and spent five weeks at number two in 1992.[15] Jackson founded the "Heal the World Foundation" in 1992. The charity organization brought underprivileged children to Jackson's ranch, to go on theme park rides that Jackson had built on the property after he purchased it. The foundation also sent millions of dollars around the globe to help children threatened by war and disease. The Dangerous World Tour began on June 27, 1992, and finished on November 11, 1993. Jackson performed to 3.5 million people in 67 concerts. All profits from the concerts went to the "Heal the World Foundation", raising millions of dollars in relief.[15][80] He sold the broadcast rights to his Dangerous world tour to HBO for $20 million, a record-breaking deal that still stands.[81] Following the illness and death of Ryan White, Jackson helped draw public attention to HIV/AIDS, something that was still controversial at the time. He publicly pleaded with the Clinton Administration at Bill Clinton's Inaugural Gala to give more money to HIV/AIDS charities and research.[82][83] In a high-profile visit to Africa, Jackson visited several countries, among them Gabon and Egypt.[84] His first stop to Gabon was greeted with a sizable reception of more than 100,000 people in "spiritual bedlam", some of them carrying signs that read, "Welcome Home Michael".[84] In his trip to the Ivory Coast, Jackson was crowned "King Sani" by a tribal chief.[84] He then thanked the dignitaries in French and English, signed official documents formalizing his kingship and sat on a golden throne while presiding over ceremonial dances.[84] One of Jackson's most acclaimed performances came during the halftime show at Super Bowl XXVII. As the performances began, Jackson was catapulted onto the stage as fireworks went off behind him. As he landed on the canvass, he maintained a motionless "clenched fist, standing statue stance", dressed in a gold and black military outfit and sunglasses; he remained completely motionless for several minutes while the crowd cheered. He then slowly removed his sunglasses, threw them away and began to sing and dance. His routine included four songs: "Jam", "Billie Jean", "Black or White" and "Heal the World". It was the first Super Bowl where the audience figures increased during the half-time show, and was viewed by 135 million Americans alone; Jackson's Dangerous album rose 90 places up the album chart.[13] Jackson was given the "Living Legend Award" at the 35th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. "Black or White" was Grammy nominated for best vocal performance. "Jam" gained two nominations: Best R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song In the early 1980s, he became a dominant figure in popular music and the first African American entertainer to amass a strong crossover following on MTV. The popularity of his music videos airing on MTV, such as "Beat It", "Billie Jean" and "Thriller" — widely credited with transforming the music video from a promotional tool into an art form — helped bring the relatively new channel to fame. Videos such as "Black or White" and "Scream" made Jackson an enduring staple on MTV in the 1990s. With stage performances and music videos, Jackson popularized a number of physically complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk. His distinctive musical sound and vocal style influenced many hip hop, pop and contemporary R&B artists across several generations issued Thriller 25, comprising original material from the album, re-mixes, the previously unreleased song "For All Time" and a DVD. Two singles were released to moderate success: "The Girl Is Mine 2008" and "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' 2008". Thriller 25 was a commercial success, having done particularly well as a re-issue, peaking at number one in eight countries and Europe. It reached number three in the UK and top 10 on over 30 national charts.[143][144][145] It was ineligible for the Billboard 200 chart as a re-release, but entered atop the Pop Catalog chart, where it stayed for 11 non-consecutive weeks and had the best sales on that chart since December 1996.[146][147][148] In 12 weeks Thriller 25 sold over three million copies worldwide.[149] As of November 2008, U.S. sales of Thriller 25 stood at 688,000 copies, making it the best-selling catalog album of 2008.[148] To date, it sold 774,000 copies in the USA Jackson sang from childhood, and over time his voice and vocal style changed noticeably, either through puberty or a personal preference to align his vocal interpretation to the themes and genres he chose to express. Between 1971 and 1975, Jackson's voice "descended ever so slightly from boy soprano to his current androgynous high tenor".[203] In the mid-1970s, the singer adopted a "vocal hiccup" as seen in "Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)". The purpose of the hiccup — somewhat like a gulping for air or gasping — was to help promote a certain emotion, be it excitement, sadness or fear.[21] With the arrival of Off the Wall in the late 1970s, Jackson's abilities as a vocalist were well regarded; Allmusic described him as a "blindingly gifted vocalist".[188] At the time, Rolling Stone compared his vocals to the "breathless, dreamy stutter" of Stevie Wonder. Their analysis was also that "Jackson's feathery-timbred tenor is extraordinarily beautiful. It slides smoothly into a startling falsetto that's used very daringly".[189] 1982 saw the release of Thriller, and Rolling Stone were of the opinion that Jackson was then singing in a "fully adult voice" that was "tinged by sadness" [sunita277]

I like man in the mirror, black and white, beat it and thriller. I am not much of a MJ fan but sometimes he had good lyrics with relevant messages or really cool video effects, which I do admit to being a fan of. [cripfemme]
Hi Zelmarq, I loved most all of Michael Jackson's songs. I guess if I had to pick just one it would be "Man in the Mirror". It is a song that just tugs at your heart, you know? Great song! I just loved to watch him perform...esp his dancing! No one could dance like MJ! God bless you too! [Springlady]
Hi Zelmark, sorry for the delay in responding, but I've just moved back to Australia, and this is my first chance to check my mail. As for my favorite Michael Jackson song, I can't think of the title, or the movie it was from, but it was about a whale, that's all I can remember. [mipen2006]
That is not easy. I love all his music. He was very talented, and I enjoyed his music. He had a gift. I just hope he now is at peace, and free from his so called demons. He truly will be missed, but even though he is gone, his music and gifts will live on. [crickethear]
There are so many Michael Jackson songs that i love to listen to...but billie jean and heal the world are what i always start to play everytime i put his CD in my player. I love to dance to the beat of billie jean and love to listen to the melody of heal the world. I also like singing the song while listening to it. But of course any michael jackson is always good to the ears...I like listening to his version of I'll be there, Ain't no Sunshine, Come Together, and so on and on and on.... [3superkids]
