I have been thinking about this because my hubby and daughter are listening to music almost all the time. I guess they enjoy it that much.
DOn't take me wrong. I like music. I listen to it, just not that regularly. I notice that some people need it more than others. My mom used to turn on the radio as soon as she would get home and it would be on for almost all the time. Hubby usually has music on his computer and couldn't survive in a car without a radio.
I remember back home when I had my car I rarely turned on the radio.I preferred to drive in silence.
My son turns on the music when he wants to go to sleep and falls asleep with the music.
I don't really have any special music habits. Sometimes I feel like listening to some music, and I look for what I want to listen to. But it is infrequent and there is no pattern to it.
So I'm curious. When do you listen to music?

I listen to music when I walk to and from work. Also when I'm walking on campus between classes. Sometimes I listen to music when I eat lunch, but not always. I always listen to music when I drive - but the type will vary drastically with the circumstances. Some night I fall asleep to music. Every morning, I listen to music coming from next door neighbor. He goes to bed early and gets up early. He turns on the music channel to listen to whatever is on, hence the free music for me, not bad, but his wife complains a lot, as she goes to bed very late, doing her Knitting all year round. Well Twin, like you I am not bothered about listening to Music, the Kids love their Music lol and when we where all living together it sometimes drove me mad lol I rather have the TV on in the Background and mine is always quiet even when I watch something on it, the Kids always said they must be going deaf lol and would turn it up and I hate loud TV's lol The only time I have my Music on is when I am driving, as it keeps me alert at all times, and I like singing to it lol but apart from that I prefer not to listen to Music [gabs8513]
I listen to music everyday and whenevr I want to, when I am going to work in the morning I should be listening to music in the bus else I do not have too much things interesting to do so I listen to my favorite music. I listen to music when I'm cleaning the house. From 7am to 9am on tuesday mornings when I'm at work I listen to music. When I'm online a lot of the time I'll have pandora open and listenign to music there. My hubby is home watching tv most of the time so I can't just turn the radio on whenever. [nonersays]

I like to listen to music when I surf the internet. I also use it to help me fall asleep and to wake me up in the morning. For instance, I like to listen to my ipod once I get up. It helps me feel less drowsy and more energized. [emskoneko]

My hubby and I are both really into music. I am a singer, and he just loves his music! It would be much easier to tell you when we DON'T have music playing than when we do. We don't turn it on when getting ready for work in the morning. We don't have it on when we're watching something on TV (unless it is a sports game. Hubby likes to mute sports games and play music instead. He can't stand to listen to commentators talk about mindless crap and then tell him details about the game he can see for himself without listening to them!). But a new CD showed up on my desk last week and, since I haven't had a chance to listen to it at work, I popped it in today. The electric violins, cellos and violas create a sound that's fast enough to keep me moving, but not so catch y that I'm suddenly wasting time singing Walk like an Eqyptian into my blush-brush microphone (not that I've ever done that…). And these girls are super pretty—the album cover inspired me to wear a bold red top and put on eye shadow today. I listen to music wherever the mood hits me, I love music I have music on my computer from itunes and rhapsody, and I have music in my profile and like a lot of people I have music on my mp3 player. I have insomnia and, as I refuse to take addictive sleeping pills, currently use musical therapy to help me sleep. A series of calming songs play, and help me to relax and fall asleep. I am totally passionate about music and would much rather listen to music than watch tv. I enjoy watching tv but have really reduced the amount of time I watch. I have several different genres on my iTunes and iPod which also include - latino/mexican; country; folk; R&B; some hip hop/rap; oldies; dance; pop and jazz/swing. Before I had a car I would listen to music in my Walkman (yes A Sony Walkman with cassettes!) on the way to and from work on buses, trains and while walking.
