I love music and there are times when I enjoy having karaoke with my friends.I like the thought of it but I usually find myself more as the listener and the cheerer.I like it that way as I enjoy listening to my friends hitting the right pitch and melody of the song and cheer for them.I feel that I enjoy it more than me actually singing.How about in your case?Do you prefer being the singer or the active listener? well we uased to have this party in our college and we dont just simply sit and hear and we will surely sing . it would be a great time . apart from singing most of them will dance . i will for sure will sing in a karoke party . i love singing . of course you can listen to the song when you are hearing it . i used to do singing . Ahh karoke partys I singing sometimes, if my friends signing I sing with them. Ussaly my girlfriend are signing with her friends and I just listen. Karoke is for fun and if somone has hard day, than he can signing. And he smile all night than it end! :) [ET28LV]

Whenever I go to a karaoke party or club I just love to perform and sing and just have some great fun with it. It also helps that I do a little singing myself in my spare time. Depends on how much alcohol I have had LOL. While that is partially true, it is not completely true. I love to sing. I was actually a state champion singer so I love to get up there and sing I find it fun, although since I don't sing in front of people very often any more I do get a little nervous at first but I can usually relax after I get the first couple of lines of a song out. My sister also is a good singer and likes to sing, and her husband likes to sing too, so we will spend entire nights just sitting around singin. My husband and my mom like to just sit and listen to us. Sometimes my kids and my neices and nephews will join in to but usually they just like to listen to us sing, but we always do some songs where we all sing together as a group too. We have also gone to kareoke clubs with friends too, but only my sister and I will get up and sing most of our friends will just listen and will not go up and sing, but they chear loud for us so it is is cool. I am more the singer type. I love singing, so I have lots of fun when I go to karaoke with my friends. When they sing, I cheer too, and applaud when they finish, as they usually give their all when they perform. Karaoke is one of my favourite hobbies, just in case it wasn't clear lol [madteaparty]
I've been to a few karaoke parties and I've sang on most of them. I'd say it's the only outlet to let out the performer in me. I love singing in front of an audience although I feel nervous at first. Being an ex entertaniner myself I nearly alway get up and sing at a karioke party. Mind you most people won't let me get away with just sitting down and listening! Karaoke here in the Philippines is indeed very popular. It does give everyone the chance to express their feelings through singing. Singing in the karaoke doesn't really require that the participant should have that golden voice. I do admit I'm not that good singer (but I'm not also a bad singer, let's just say I'm a little bit up than average). I do enjoy singing that much, rather than listening and cheering for them. I am the kind of type in the Karaoke where I am the singer. My friends would tend to let me sing all the time and they just want to listen to me and just cheer me up. In fact, in my relatives house like if there would be fiesta or something like events, they would let me sing and they would just be there at the side listening to me.
