How often do you hear this sentence when you tell people what kind of music you're into? Personally, I like Punk and all sorts of heavy rock, but I'm essentially an all-out metal-head. I've heard people my age -- or sometimes even younger! -- say things like, "Iron Maiden? Oh, I used to listen to them when I was young", as if it was some kind of bad habit or a juvenile disease they'd contracted as teenagers, then subsequently got rid of.
Has anyone here been confronted to such judgemental attitudes concerting their musical tastes? Or do you think that an over-40-year-old doctor should "grow up and stop listening to this music"?

I dont think I will stop listening the music I listen to now, but as I get older Ive noticed that Ive started to appreciate other types of music. I too love rock punk & metal but Ive learned that Opera & Classical as just as awesome...especially when you have a child that calms down listening to it & will fall asleep in minutes haha BUT I dont stray from what I love, as soon as I hit the road on my way to work Im blowing out my speakers. I used to usually stick to one genre of music now I have a love of ALLL kinds of music! [cachitodemialma]
I just had to add this. The radio station I used to listen used to have a slogan.. "No Rap, No Crap.." When you consider that crap is made up of 75% rap, I guess that speaks for itself ;) [comedyaddict]
I was never a fan of punk rock. I did like some heavy metal back in the 60's and 70's. Now, I don't care for it. I still like a lot of rock from the 60's, 70's and 80's. I still listen to Psychedelic type music from 40 years ago. I didn't outgrow hard rock, because it was never one of my favorites. I can find music I like from most genres and could care less what anyone else listens to or what is favorable. I like what I like and if I want to listen to the Blues Magoos when I am 80, I will. I listen to music that gives me energy and makes me feel happy. [sigma77]
Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands. Ever. They are one of the very few bands that broke out of writing music, ascended past it if you will, and began to write emotion. They are brilliant and up there in the ranks with Tool. [verticle_ascent]
you are absolutely right.i am 41 years young and now i listen to what my kid listens too aswell as what i grew up with and i am ever evoling ..i listen to traditional, folk, world music, and i get my good dose of metallica when i get to my sister;s and even white and nerdy.. we are never too old..i was 16 years old when punk came out.. no carry on the genre..why not..i say.. WE ARE NOT TOO OLD..WE ARE NOT TOO OLD.. good mantra that.. [yanjiaren]
thanks man!! made my day..lol [yanjiaren]
People should listen to whatever they ilke. I've always listened mostly to rock, but I've also listened to classical since I was in high school. I loved punk in the '70s and still like it. Besides, if all the baby boomers now in their 50s and 60s 'grew up,' all those old rocks bands couldn't go on tour, because most of their audience would be at home listenting to Muzak or the easy listening radio station! [Idlewild]
I saw the Rolling Stones a couple of years back, and there were indeed a fair number of young people there. More gray heads than any other rock concert I've attended, though! (Well, except for The Who and Cream) [Idlewild]
I am 45 years old and still love glam rock, I guess I will never stop listening o this music atlhough now I can listen to classical music, soul, rag, foxtrot, etc that I never listenend before. [jahvo6]
Cinderella and Motley Crue... Hair Metal is sooo sweet! ;) [Thomas73]
i dont ever think i will stop listerning to this music...im into rock music, as i have been brought up with it. but i love it, that will never change [vicky_lane4987]
I'll listen to what I want for how long I want, I don't care what anyone says, so keep rocking to what you like. [Jemmifire]
we will not stop listening to our music, but as we keep listening to them, they will eventually become "oldies" as our future kids will call them. sad to say. [redfirebwp]
Great discussion. Personally no one has told me to grow with reguards to the music I listen to. But at the age of 45, I'm kind of surprised myself that I still love Rock and Roll groups such as Rush, Creed, Third Day plus many more. I'm lucky because I drive truck long distance and spend so much time alone that I can crank my stereo without anyone saying, can you turn that down! But trucking for 23 years has it's downside as well, but thats another topic for discussion. [praiseitem]
I think you should never stop listening to music that you like. It is funny hearing my kids laugh at the music I listened to growing up. If your taste in music makes you happy and feel good, why stop. I don't plan on stopping. Plus it's also fun trying out new types of music. I like all types of music except blues and jazz. Everybody loves a feel good song no matter what age they are. So my advice is rock on Thomas73. [chertsy]
I feel that people of any age can listen to whatever they please. Most people listen to what they grew up with, so why stop now? My parents listened to what we call "Oldies" now, and they still do. So in the same way, they never would have technically grown up as well, even thought the music is more "acceptable." The same goes for even older people who listen to Big Band music. I feel people will always listen to what they grew up with. Some will change and broaden their horizons, but there is nothing wrong with listening to heavy metal and punk if you are in your forties. If you like the music, people shouldn't really care. That is the problem with our society a lot of time. Other people are too concerned about what others do, and they feel they have an obligation to make them conform to their standards. I say keep on listening to your music, even the rap music! P.S. I listened to rap for a long time, being the whitest of white people around. I love the beats and rythms, but now I listened to Christian rap to stay away from the lyrics. I know you probably won't listen to Christian rap, as I know your views on Religion :D, but enjoy your music, no matter what it is! [spreadingtheword]
This is the same reason I like some mainstream rap, because of the music, not the lyrics. The feeling is mutual, so rock on! [spreadingtheword]
LOL! I get that all the time! When I was a teenager back in the 70's, I was very into the "progressive rock" scene here in Britain - Genesis, Pink Floyd etc. Now, 30 years on, I still listen to it all the time, and people look at me like I'm crazy, and say "aren't you too old to listen to THAT!?". Well, - no I'm not. I'm still the person I was 30 years ago, and I still enjoy it! Cheers! [rosie_123]
Early Genesis and Pink Floyd... you have great taste in music. Don't ever loose it! :) [Thomas73]
well, the type of music i listend to when i was younger (pre-teens since i'm only in my 20's) was slightly different. i don't think people should listen to certian music just because of their age...just their tastes. tastes do change throughout time. i like a lot of mainstreem stuff...before it was boy bands, and now its female rockers. but my styles have always been the same, hip-hop, r&b, with some rock here and there. i just like certian songs. but if you're 40 and like heavy metal...go for it!! no problem there. you might be a little nostalgic for the older bands, but everyone does that. i know i will never listen to contemporary like my parents....its just not me...if the music puts me to sleep, its not something i really want to listen to. [emarie]
What i think is that since the topic is hard rock and/or mettalic people tend to respond that way. As one grow old gradually the mindset changes and one tends to move to soft songs or music. Maybe the respondants wanted to mean this by saying that they only listened to hard rock or its category songs in young age. hard rock make old people sick and if that person has some kind of heart illness then the problem only multiplies. [getsadani]
Hard Rock make people sick, eh? Maybe you should get your facts straight and give your mouth a chance before you do all the talking with your backside... [Thomas73]
I'm with you my friend. I'm 41 and not only do i still listen to things like New Model Army and the Wildhearts but I still play live in two bands as well. I'm not growing old gracefully for anyone. [steerpyke]
I dont' encounter such predicament. And I don't care if people think I have some kind of disease jsut because I still listen to the music of my youth. I'd never outgrown it because those are the type of music that makes me happy and makes me relive the hapy days of my youth. My husband feels the same way ---we like to listen to the type of music we really love. Don't be afraid to listen to what you want to listen. It makes you happy and the important thing --you are happy with it. My cousin is a lawyer and he listens to metal and my friend is a school principal and she loves listening to punk rock and they don't care what everyone thinks. There is no punishment for listening to such music ----not even a disease. [bingkaycoy]
Don't be mad, you should listen to whatever you like listening to. My cousin is nearly 50 and he still 'jumps' around to his punk music (while clinging to his walkingframe) hahaha [ginagee]
If we have to stop listening rock and metal, I don't want to grow up! I've always preferred artists that are honest to their music and not sell out in order to make a quick buck. Generally these tend to be rock / metal groups. I guess that might be the reason so many rock groups from 70's and 80's are still being listened too... They make music they love to make, and the fans love them for it... [comedyaddict]
Well I'm 40 & listen to Psychobilly which is more outrageous than punk, & I have no intention in stopping. I find a lot of the so called "in" music to have about as much life & attitude as a bag of cotton wool. I enjoy something with good playing, energy & excitement, & rock Music of all Genres caters for this. [Jaytech]
i will listen what i want. so...why i must care about anyone says. i enjoy with what i do. [banditwsj]
Well, I'm 40 years old. When I was young I listened punk music and a little of Heavy metal. I liked AC DC, Iron Maiden, Skorpions, Motorhead, but my favourite music was Punk. I listened a lot of Punk bands, from Black Flag to Dead Kennedys, from Crass (not Clash) to Flux of Pink Indians to Conflict.... and Ramones, Cramps, and so on. Now that I am old I listen to a lot of Classic Music and jazz, but mu heart is all for Punk and I often listen to Punk, in office, at home, in car.... [FrancyDafne]
I like Jazz & Blues too, but still like Psychobilly (Cramps) & other rock based music :) [Jaytech]
Why Thomas, you never cease to amze me! I'd never picture you as a metal head. I say, listen to whatever you want. Even bluegrass if you must. Music is an individual thing and shame on anyone for judging it or you for listening to that type of music! [Melizzy]
I love this post and what you wrote in particular about the metalism/classism concert issue. You are truly interesting and beautiful, and I find myself constantly reading your posts. I'm glad you are one of the humans here on planet earth. [loralee]
No!Never! its not the 'grow up' thing. those people dont really like rock, they just started to be 'cool'. thats the real test, you can see by this issue whos a real rock lover and whos not. you hang out with the wrong people:) [AceOS20]
Hanging out with the wrong people is -- or rather was -- part of my job ;) [Thomas73]
Unless you still love the ryhme, you dont have to quit. The good music is where you can enjoy it or not. Thank God i almost enjoy listening all genre music, someimes i have to enjoy it because my friends has te remote ;) [wahyudewa]
yes ofcourse why not' its your choice anyway. for me, i would not stop listening to music that sounds pretty cool to me. [chellicks]
I still know and sing many of the Muppets songs, LOL. If that isn't considered too young for me, what is? I can't say I have heard anyone really complain about my wide taste in music. I like heavy metal, rap, pop, oldies, Motown and techno. The only type I cannot do, is country. Listen to what you like, there isn't any age music to personal tastes as far as I am concerned. [sunshinecup]
Dude, your making me laugh really load out load again. Probably pissing off my neighbors. Its all your fault! And I once got tricked into liking country(bluegrass) with much Kentucky moonshine. It sounded so good around the camp fire with homemade brew and other nicities I shunt really elaborate on on this here public forum.;) Now I'm hooked and have to add it to the list of music I love. Plus its fun to dance to barebut (oops) I mean barefoot in the grass. I want to change my username to dirtygirl. Do you think they might let me do that? just kidding. [loralee]
If that was the case, I don't want to grow up! In the 70's and 80's I went to see Ted Nugent and the next time he comes I'll go see him again. I just turned 50. Look, Idon't care what kind of music you like, I don't care how old you were when you liked it, you can't just suddenly "grow up" and not like it anymore. I'll be listening to heavy metal and progressive rock till I die. [marty3888]
I dont think those people meant they're getting rid of their music before or are ashamed of it. Maybe they really didnt have time to listen again when they got older and busy with work and family. Because when you ask them, they still tell you what they like! If they dont care at all, they wont even tell you anything. [hikarushidou]
i hear that all the time. i wish people would stop acting like that. i will listen to what i want to and they can listen to what they want to. i like all kinds of music like rap, rock, punk, and country. my boyfriend likes music from today and he grew up in the 70's. i'm always confronted about this because my family goes to church 3 times a week and think i'm listening to wrong music. someone over 40 has their own life and they should be able to listen to whatever they like. they are adults and can make their own decissions. [pebbles_cubbie]
I don't care how old you are, there is nothing wrong with liking what you like, and admitting it! It has nothing to do with "growing up". I don't think that music is something you grow out of. I was never into the punk and heavy metal, but I still LOVE the rock classics of the 1980's, and I don't care what others think about it. My 18 year old niece thinks that I'm "strange" because of my taste in music. I have also learned to like other kinds of music, and now I have a collection of many genres, depending on my mood. One surprising thing is that I have developed a liking for certain rap music, perhaps partly because of the influence of the inner-city clinic population that I was working with for so long. I can recall so many of my patients telling me how "deep" some of the lyrics actually were, and how a lot of the rap music portrays life experiences and lessons. I found this to be so true of Eminem's earlier work. I can live without a lot of the foul language, but the message of his earlier work, and that of some of the rappers, is very real. [lauriefnp]
I DONT think there is an age limit to any music personally. I'm 27 and listen to kids music and pop music, I listen to oldies from when my parents were kids, I love Disco music and music from the 80's when I grew up. I love todays hits too and love it all. I love music. I'd never let a thing like age stop me from listening to something I love :)) so rock on! [monkeywriter]
i cant imagine myself to stop listening to music. [uhevelyn]
Music is part of our life. Music can help us ease some pain we feel whenever we're down and lonely. Music can also make us happy and sometimes music is our story. We will never stop listening to music, because its part of our identity. we may have different taste in kinds of music but still we will always love it and listen to it every now and then. [sweetvenus]
I don't think you can stop a person for listening to his/her preferred music I mean so what if you're over 40yrs old and still listen to heavy rock or whatever music you like...Its part of of your personality so you don't have to listen to those people who doesn't like your music [kaydee10]
We are all entitled on what we should choose, and I guess ignore those narrow-minded people. Music has a wide variety of genre and has different number of followers. Rock, Heavy Metal, Hard Rock And Slow Rock that include bands from the 70's, and up until now have proved that they can create quality music. A lot of bands have proved that Rock music is not for sex, drugs, rebelious and anarchy but for peace and unity. Just look at what U2, P.O.D., Creed and Collective Soul have done to make rock music more meaningful. [raijin]
I hope i never grow up and stop listening to music. Music keeps me sane. After a long hard day i love to just sit around and listen to music, its so relaxing. Its a real out for me and I dont know if i would like having to find something else to release my stress! [koverman32]
I will listen to other types of music as I grew older and I will never stop but I will appreciate more to listening other genres. [alchemistrx]
Why would you want to give up something you enjoy that is not detrimental to anyone??Why would they ask you to change your habits if it does not affect them? I would rather have a calm doctor who enjoys listening to Iron Maiden working on me than a stressed-out doctor who listens to music he does not enjoy and takes it out on me!! [lonewolfnan]
My first favorite band was Motley Crue, I started listening to them when I was 13 in 1981, I still love all of their stuff on the first 5 albums, and I still listen to other Heavy Metal bands, the types of music I like are Heavy Metal, Punk, Jazz, New Wave, New Age, Reggae, Blues, Country, Classical, Instrumental, Progressive Rock, and Rock & Roll. I don't think that age has anything to do with what you listen to or what you do, my friends and I get together once a week for about 5 hours and play Champions a superhero rpg (old style-paper and pencil with real dice), I am the second youngest one their at 38 the youngest one is a friend of 2 of the people and he still is 16. It is totally age appropriate for that youngster, it has nothing totally adult about it, yet we all have fun! [wanderer]
Growing up seems to simply broaden our musical horizon while remaining true to the music of our youth. Did I sum this up correctly? [Thomas73]
Music is for entertainment purpose . At 40 years of age we will not stop the entertainment , So Definetly i will not stop the listening music i'll continue . entertainment does not depend on age it's only depends on the interest . [sai_1729]
Oh, I think whether a person like music is not judged by age. I don't think I will not like music when I am getting old. People in different ages will love different music. Maybe I change my taste to another kind of music when I am getting old... Now, as a grown-up, I like rock, heavy meteal.. [randyequal]
MEtal rules lolzz music is my life am still young so can't say what my taste will be in future but i don't think much will change in me as i was into speed meatl from the very beginning and still the same heheh [healer]
i will NEVER stop listening to this music. It makes up such a huge part of my life. i'm loyal to my music. Lyal till death. AFI TILL I MOTEREFFING DIE! [xfallenxlostx]
I am an addicit when it comes to punk, heavy rock and metal! been listening to it for over 10 years now and i dont think i'll ever stop! but i've noticed that with passage of time i've developed a taste for other types of music as well but that doesnt mean i am gonna give up listening to my fav punk, heavy rock and metal! People who make it sound like juvenile disease or bad habit as you put it are simply not sure of what they like. [destroyer]
I love Rock-all rock. I love punk, metal, whatever. Just Rock. I really hate rap as it sometimes seems that kids all like it because they're being influenced by their friends. Rap, if you ask me, is a waste. All it is to me is a beat and someone yelling (or talking) into a microphone. Sadly enough, I used to listen to rap. Then, I heard bands like Yellowcard, Avenged Sevenfold, and My Chemical Romance and I just got into rock like crazy. Then we had a new TV channel called Fuse. That's when I changed and all I listened to after that was rock. My mom hates my music, but that's okay. All parents usually hate their kids' music. It's normal. I don't care. If you don't like it, don't listen to it. If you do like it, keep on listening if you enjoy it. Don't worry so much what others think. -Joe [cotton_eye_joe92]
Don't you dare stop listening to the best music - keep rockin'! I hate people looking at me sideways when I say I'm into Metallica, Rammstein etc. As a 44 year old accountant obviously I'm far to old and sensible to be into that - aaagggghhhhh! And I suppose they're into these sickly boy bands and stuff, are they? [suewhitter]
Hi Thomas,I am 41 and i still love lising too Metallica,Evanscense and Him and i dont think that I will change with old age and I dont really care what others think!!! [Tynnac]
i say you should listen to what you want to. its nobody's business. people should tell people what hey can or can not listen to. im white but i like some black music.my ex always told me you need to stop playing that your not black. i would say no im not but im human and so are they. oh my ex just ugh! but anyways sorry for that rant, i just say if thats the music that makes you happy and thats what you want then no one has the right to tell you to stop and grow up. how do we know these people aren't going home and listening to the same stuff [mbarryton]
I personally am not in to heavy rock or punk. However, music is your soul. It also is your coping mechanism in this world. I am not sure what kind of doctor you are, but it seems to me, you deal with a lot of stress and depression, and that is how you handle it. So keep doing what makes you feel good. If that is what you like, no body should be questioning it. [crickethear]
never this question is quite awkward .......... how could this be possible [sandeeptiwari]
I'm a 36-year-old college administrator and still love Ozzy and Judas Priest. So I'd say don't stop listening, continue to love it, and when you get confronted on it just turn up the volume and bang your head : ). There's some music I loved as a teen that I listen to now and go "what the heck was I thinking." But not my metal. [ginny36]
I still listen to the same music I listened to since I was old enough to choose. I do like other kinds of music now though too. I am still an 80's girl at heart. I don't think I will ever get over the hair spray bands. 90% of the concerts I go to are "80"s bands. [crystal8577]
Oh, not at all! Never give up your love for music because it is part of who you are and has helped mold you into the person you are now! The only thing i guess would be to be aware of how you behave about it. i guess it wouldn't be nice to see middle aged people moshing around, hehe. Personally I love house music and i can't imagine not liking it when i get older. [mgfabia]
I am 56 and as mentioned in other discussions I get to travel all over UK and listen to lots of different music. My brother who is a mere babe of 40 has a punk rock outfit operating out of a secret base in North Wales. They are called Peakz (Snowdon, geddit?) and have some awesome sounds. http://www.myspace.com/peakz My 17 year old daughter is very embarrassed by this as I often like some of the new music she likes and that kills it stone dead for her. I can't listen to that if my dad likes it! Hear her cry! One of the very best experiences and privileges of my life was to have met the late great John Peel a few times as my brother was quite friendly with him. On one occasion at BBC Maida Vale JP came out of his broadcasting booth to speak to me and proclaimed himself glad there was someone else there with a few grey hairs. The kids in the audience were looking at me with great suspicion at first but then when John spoke to me they all started looking at me as if they ought to know me, that sort of well, is he Mick Jagger's brother or something look. In Cardiff on business I try to check out Clwb Ifor Bach or the Barfly but more often than not I end up at the Trad Kazz for daddyos like me and it's the only place the musicians are still older than me. [Noot54]
Nah, if you wanna listen to certain types of music, then just do it. It does not matter about other people. I love my metal, i love classical and rock, and trance. Hell I just love everything, but yeah, metal is, and always will remain my fave. I am gonna die when i am 85 listening to Iron Maiden's Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son, or Megadeth's Tornado Of Souls. [signum]
Oh Thomas!!! That's it! That does it! I can't really get into anything deeper with you! That is absolutely the music I hate the most!!! So, if we get together at some point, there is no way we can listen to music we like together! But I applaud your strength in listening to that kind of music. I guess you are very much into the Berlin Love Parade... I went once and after 25 minutes I had such a headache! But enjoy it if it makes you happy! Don't change because other people tell you! [berlinlife]
I don't know which music you're referring to when you mention that you hate it the most. And I'm not very much into those Love Parades, as I can't stand Techno! We'll have this cup of Coffee in Berlin without any music ;) [Thomas73]
My uncle the other day said im too old to like punk and metal music, yet im only 18! pffft! If you ask me, music is about taste not age, dont ever let age dictate what you listen to. When i first went to see my favourite band, i was pleasantly supprised alot of the people there were in their 30's and 40's, i had alot of respect for them. Kids get peer pressure to listen to some kinds of music, and adults get pressured into not liking some kinds of music, its ridiculous! If i can have it my way, i will listen to the music i like forever, i fought as a young teen to like the music i do through alot of abuse, if i have to do it again as i grow up, i will! [wreckingdoll]
I enjoy most genres of music. I enjoy everything from the Dixie Chicks to Guns n Roses. It drives my husband nuts. Many people hold on the music that they listened to in their youth and enjoy it later in their lives as well. We will probably listen to this music as old fogies and drive our kids insane. [ElusiveButterfly]
I'm in my 30s now and I listen to harder and edgier music than ever in my life. Ugh I remember being a teen and totally into New Kids on the Block. Gah! Now I listen to a range of styles from when I was growing and current music. I used to think metal was the worst thing ever and felt sad for the future of music - I couldn't see anything redeeming about it - now I can appreciate and enjoy the genre much more. Also I understand it now. My favorite music now is probably punk - a style associated with teenagers and something I couldn't stand when I was actually a teen. [sonnet]
You should continue to do whatever makes you happy! I have a varying taste in music and also like heavy metal and heavy rock but not all the time. It depends on my mood really. The only form of music I can't seem to enjoy so far is opera, and I don't really like techno music that they play in nightclubs either. music genres always seem to have a resurgence at some time or another, someone does a cover or a band from the 70's or 80's regroup and tour and then develop a whole new following. Look at the Rolling Stones..... Each to their own I say! Music is no different to food or movies, some people like one thing, some like another. One man's trash is another man's treasure! [James72]
I don't take those people seriously. The love of metal is a burning passion they will never know. [Zalvor]
excellent question!!! I´m 28 years old, and I´m think that I open mind in music, I´m always open to listen new music. I know people younger to me and they stay in the same musical gender that 10 years ago. I started my musical experience listen to quiet riot and the when i was 13 years old I knew nirvana and pearl jam. and today I open to know more music, don´t matter what kind of music is. [limalimon]
First, eavy metal is among the few musical genres that I do not listen to :). Besides, I listen to pop music and I still keep an eye on the latest hits. I really don't care what other people might think about my musical tastes and whether they match my age or not. There is no age for music and as long as you enjoy listening to some kind of music, I think that you just should go for it, regardless of others' opinions. [spiderman05]
I listen to whatever music I like. If that Iron Maiden sang nice maybe I would like her music When I get older I'm gonna play more music and listen less. Also, more silence too. [kurtbiewald]
I'm stuck in a total time warp, I started listening to Radio Scotland when it was a Pirate Radio station on the ship MV COMET in the 1960's, when that got stopped, Radio Clyde took over, which then branched out into 2 separate radio stations, now I listen to Saga Radio, (showing my age), but the music is pretty much the same as the pirate radio, and some of the DJ's from Radio Scotland and Radio Clyde are now on Saga. (listening to Saga online at the moment). I like a mixture of 60's early 70's and some light classical but not the heavy stuff. [Eskimo]
The only time I was judged about music I listened to was when I was younger and into thrash metal and punk. It wasn't very common, and I am almost certain I started the goth trend back in the 80's! People told me I was a weirdo. However, I do think still listening to the music might help if you are going through some mid-life crisis. I've seen my taste in music change the lives of older men trying to feel younger by hanging out with me and being forced to listen to gangster rap. But since your a doctor, and you if want my respect, you have to start listening to opera and act snooty. [oraclemv]
Thank you, thank you, thank you! That's what I needed to read, somebody with Opera experience! [oraclemv]
Grow up? This will surely never happen. I will never grow out of the music I love and yes, this has happened to me often. I like a wide range of music - metal being a part of it. I love Queensriech and have been told that they are out-dated and ridiculous. I get critisized, misjudged, made to feel small in so many ways over so many issues that I must grow out of being bothered by it all. Life is a trip I can't wait to make to Hawaii. [loralee]
Oh, Hawaii scares me, I might run into the real Kahiki man (see my What scared you the most as a child post for details on the Kahiki man)! The thing I found to be worse when being judged by the older music I listen to is when I listen to what the kids are listening to today. I am so glad Beat Boxing is still around! [oraclemv]
