How often you listen to online radio while browsing? Will that be a good boost to your work to make it faster?
I often listen to CBN radio but most of the songs are repeated.. What are the radio stations you listen to? What kind of music helps you to do your work better?confused

I have listened to radio whilst checking e-mails and browsing a few times, but sometimes if I am answering posts or reading something, it can become a distraction, so I turn it off. happy - Derek [derek_a]
I think that if you are typing something or doing something. The music really can become a distraction. You tend to sing more than typing and thinking of answers. [marctiu]
I used to hate listening to online fm radios while surfing the internet because it wasted my bandwidth until one day my girl friend introduced me to a very cool online radio from Atlanta Georgia. From then on whenever I have my internet on and I'm working online I go to that site and listen to the radio, It is really cool and interesting. [enigma1987]

I no longer listen to the radio while I am online. I have the TV on. Not so much about following what is no TV, but I just need the "sound" to indicate of life and that I am not alone. The power of multi-tasking - browsing at what is on the computer screen and that of the TV. lol. [whyaskq]

Hi Phillip, I used to enjoy the online radio and would like to listen the English pop music in order to have the good mood to work on the net and also when I am hearing this pop songs it would makes me more happy and also I am feeling too great. So many times the radio would repeat the same songs in many times, because of the viewer request. So we don't have the option to choose the best pone according to our wishes in order to enjoy the life with good mind. Have a nice day. [Binthu]

browsing without listening to music just like being in the cemetery. silent and deserted. boring. So to eliminate the boredom, I often listen to music. Online radio? I never liked the things that particularly noisy to hear especially announcer's voice which sometimes not clear [advokatku]

I may not listen to the radio all the time, but I do enjoy listening to music. Music helps me to focus really well. When I'm doing homework or even cleaning my house music helps the time pass, and prevents me from getting bored or sidetracked. I love all genres of music, so I just pick different music for my mood. I have a lot of downloaded oldies but goodies song which really inspire me to think better. I play it softly as I think of discussions and type my topics. I find lots of inspiration in music. enjoy! [manong05]

not at all i prefer to listen to my own list of music i mean my collecion of mp3s in my pc than listening to online radio or an fm while browsing.. i think it gives me more choice and it is more convinient as far as i am concerned.. so i don go for fm or online radio [SQD444]

I have never listened to online radio as i always have music on in the back ground when i am on here,which is on the tv. [jugsjugs]

I occasionally listen to music when I am browsing or working on the computer. However, the majority of the time I listen to podcasts of my favorite talk radio shows. I have found that listening to something while I am on the computer helps me to concentrate. I cannot stand to be in quiet when I am on the computer, I have got to have some sort of background noise. When we lived at the other house and the television was in the same room as the computer, that was my background noise, but now that the computer is in it's own room, I've had to establish different types of background noise. I like to listen to Pandora while I work. It works by adding songs that it thinks you may like. There is a voting system that allows you to tell it if you do or do not like the song. If you choose yes it goes on your playlist, if you choose no then it wwill never play it for you again. You can start off with a favorite artist and it will add artists that are similar. I often listen to uplifiting online radio, such as Hay House radio, while I'm social networking or chatting. When I'm working on my blog, or listing items for sale, or developing an idea for a discussion, I listen to my personal MP3 playlist on my desktop. I don't find music a distraction at all. when i browse i need to concentrate for i always have specific destinations to go to so i have to eliminate one of my favorite sounds which is music. however when i go to other online money making sites and i find myself bored to sleep clicking then i put some music on. [Ritchelle]
Among all ways to listen to music, I tend to do that with some software clients. I am not familiar with CBN radio. In fact, there are lots of people who listen to the music via various music softwares. For me, my favourite music tool is Kuwo music box, a music clientm which is very popular in my country and we can get all musics we want. I usually listen to my ipod while I'm on my computer at home. There is a music web site called "pandora". It's uninterupted music site. You pick few songs or artist & the site picks others songs for you. Sometimes I listen to online news station. My favorite one is kyw1060. [sk66rc]
I listen to Pandora. You get to choose the genres of music that you want to listen to. I usually put in several types of music and do a mix. It's better than regular radio because it is commercial free and there are not many repeats. Its actually a pretty good station. You get up to 40 hours per month free. After that you pay a dollar to get unlimited for the rest of the month. I don't go over 40 hours. hello phillip_shiny, no, i don't listen to music while doing the research or online job for that matter. for i don't like to be disturbed. i can't concentrate well if i am listenning and thinking at the same time. my mind will get mix up that the result of what i am doing will has no meaning/sense at all. if i am doing some other things other than the internet then listenning to my favorite songs is very much helpful since i can be more inspired and alived. i prefer the old songs. songs during the 80s and 90s.happy [robert19ph]
I have all my cd's put into my computer, so I will most often have a mixture of stuff from them playing. As for radio, I also quite often listen to English radio online. I am from England and live in America. Some of the stations I used to listen to in England I can now listen to online here, so I will do so, especially if I am homesick and need to hear an English accent. While driving to work I listen to my favorite local morning radio show, and when I reach the office I immediate switch on my computer to continue listening to it online. I am not a big fan of the radio, period, to be honest with you. I hate sitting through commercials and listening to annoying VJs and listening to songs I don't like. Instead, I make mix cds of my favorite songs - or I listen to my iTunes playlist when I'm online. It just makes more sense to me. That way I can listen to a variety of songs and NOT have to worry about stupid things like advertisements. Music DOES help me with productivity, though. For some reason, it keeps me going more than anything else does! It keeps me motivated. I am here a lot during the day so I generally have the TV on while I am working online. I have my favourite music on my MP3 player and I listen to that sometimes unless I am trying really hard to concentrate. I live in Australia, I have my favourite radio station here and I love the breakfast show so I don't usually miss that. My radio station plays a good mix of old and new stuff and I love it, although it is unlikely that the early show is still on by the time I get online so I hear it via my MP3, it uses too much bandwidth to play it on the computer. I love my music but when Im doing tasks or answering emails I do not have music on it really distract me some thing bad, I do not listen to radio very often I preffer to listen to my wide collection of world music which I love very much and I also carry some tapes or CD's in my car. [alottodo]

Dear Phillip, I do not listen to online radio or any 'fm' during browsing the internet. However, when I am working at my previous office we do listen to the radio. I love listening to AM stations. I do this to be updated with what's happening outside. I can always listen to music but preferred listening to news and commentaries-- i want to be updated. I listen to music *very* often. Not while I'm trying to actually concentrate on something like homework (because my music is too upbeat for me to be able to focus on both!), but other than that - definitely! I usually just pull up YouTube, because it's easier to search for my own things instead of wait for them to come up on the radio itself. I'd suggest Kiss FM, KLTY, and The Mix. I do listen to music but trough "youtube" so that I can pick and have a control over the type of music I want to listen. But if concentration and thinking is required i prefer quite place. I get easily destructed if i hear any noise. That's why if I'm participating here in mylot I prefer a quiet place in able to think. [simonelee]

Yes i do, when I am browsing the net I listen to music. I switched on the regular station here 96.3 Easy Rock or sometimes 93.1 RX Fm or 99.5 RT. During the night I listen to 102.7 Star FM because it plays mellow songs. While browsing, when I am listening to music it energize and inspire me much more when I heard my favorite songs. Hi, philip_shiny. Yes, I can listen to either one of them while I am on the Internet. I have used both of them in the past. I usually will listen to these when I am doing my PTC.
