Your Best Concert, Or The Last Concert You Have Been To - How Was It

Today, I just saw P.O.D. play live in front of around 20,000 Charger fans at Qualcomm Stadium's parking lot in San Diego. They are San Diegans and are huge Charger fans, which is what led them to offer to play for free at the San Diego Chargers' rally. They are excellent live, and the atmosphere was electric - I spent a good deal of time in the mosh pit, and moshing with gang members and football players is a lot rougher than moshing with skinny little "hardcore" kids, but even more fun. POD played the following songs: Southtown, Lights Out, Alive, Set It Off, Youth of the Nation, Without Jah Nothin, an older song that I didn't know, and the new Chargers' fight song which can be heard at http://blog.chargers.com. That's both the last and the best concert I have seen. What's yours?

The last concert that I went to was when I was in college and the bands that I saw were Vixen, Tommy Conwell and the Young Rumblers and Jude Cole. I know Vixen broke up not too long after but do not know what happened to the other group and singer. It was a great concert and was up close so I got a good view and enjoyed it very much. I wish that it had lasted longer. Vixen was great and was sad when they broke up. [kgwat70]

My last concert was some punk band, The Kids, nobody knows them, only some people from Belgium probably :). And before that it was Oasis, in Brussels, they are so big. That was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. It was a sort of best of playlist and they are using almost the same every night of that tour but still it was great! [jajatisalgoe]

The best concert I've been to was for the Dillinger Escape Plan. This moshpit was INTENSE. I've been to a lot of different shows, and I've seen some intense stuff... but nothing compares to Dillinger. It was at a small comedy club with a small amount of people... but it was pretty crazy. I came out of there with a bunch of bruises and cuts, but I had a blast. If you've ever heard The Dillinger Escape Plan then you would know how intense their music was and you might have an idea of how intense they would be on stage, not only that... their music is crazy hard to play. At one point the singer filled his mouth with Vodka or some kind of licquer, and came down into the moshpit and had a torch with him. He got people to back up a meter or two and he started breathing fire meteres from us. I don't know what it is, but fire just seemed to set the ambiance of an already crazy night. That was my last show and both times I saw them live, they were the best I've ever seen. [benks420]
Yeah I'm Pretty sure they did. I can check the set list cause my friend ran on stage and grabbed it after the show. I got a drum stick! hahhaha [benks420]

Ok...most recent concert was KENNY CHESNEY! Of course, it was awesome, he's a great performer and I LOVE his music. My favorite...probably back in the day when I was in love with *NSYNC. (NO poking fun please!) AT on particular concert (there were too many to count!) My friends and I were 2nd row center! Destiny's Child was opening and I caught one of the roses they threw out, and they even said something on stage about how i was really gettin into the music and dancing! And then, of course i loved *NSYNC. This concert was one where they flew overhead, and at one point JUSTIN was stopped right over the top of me and for what felt like an eternity our eyes were locked and we shared a HUGE smile! LOL it's corny now i know but at the time i was psyched! that made my year! [jsgrand0]

Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue were the best. I have seen Kylie 3 times and she is fantastic. Robbie is brilliant. [charlie0114]

I was at a Yanni concert November 19th, 2005 and it was spectacular and hope to go again one day [Celanith]

Well, its hard to say for me, last may I saw Korn live, but they had Hatebreed and disturbed as support so that was pretty awesome. Also Slipknot went off as did System of a down when they came out. But....... definetly Korn, it was outside in the fresh air and it was massive, and SO loud. [lammypie]

Actually, the last concert that I went to was one of the best in 2006, Bob Seger. The best concert That I've been to was Emerson, lake & Palmer in 1978. Even though for some reason they didn't do "welcome back my friends" and keith Emerson's organ that he throws around at the end wasn't working, it was the best ELP concert I've been to. Carl Palmer had an awsome awsome drum solo. [marty3888]

The last concert I went to was Kenny Chesney. I saw him at Hienz Field in Pittsburgh. It was one of the best one's I've been to also. I used to go to a lot of concerts when I was younger, but that's when they were affordable. [mcmomss]

I am not a fan of open concerts, though. I find that concerts make me hard to breathe because there are so many people crammed in one place. But I prefer sitting down concerts where I can buy tickets and choose my own seatings. I only went to one concert and I end up standing at the furthest back of the crowd because I got dizzy. Well I am really a fan of music and singers, maybe it is just because of the crowd. If there are arranged seatings, I would definitely go for it. [ladysurvivor]

Awesome topic. The last concert I seen was Aerosmith when they played at the PNC Center here in NJ. I am still hard of hearing, but I will learn to read lips, because it was well worth it. Its a shame now whats happened to steven tyler, but hopefully they will be back soon. [contusion12878]

The last concert I went to was over the summer at the fair grounds. I went to see Josh Gracin and it was feaking awesome. I have been a big fan of his since he first appeared on American Idol the second year. When he got deployed back to Iraq I was heart broken. I was standing so close to the stage he could have sweated on me. I have a great respect for him as an artist and as a military man. All in all it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. [driekons_angel]

i remember going to my first concert back in 2004 when i saw g-unit performing on the stage. i thought it was really coo and fun i enjoyed it because it was the first time i was there and there were a lot of students on campus going to the concert. it took place at NIU at the basketball stadium. in the beginning it was bumping and fun, after a while i was getting tired because it was getting late and of course the music started makeing me a little sleepy but it was ok and i didn't mind. but at least i had a good time and after the concert, i went to an after party at someone house. but i had a great night and i still think about it all the time. [MrMoney21]

I have never been in a celebrity concert, however once I watched a theatre here in Lahoer (Pakistan) that was awsome experience, infact I rarely go to cinema too [usman400]

Mine had P.O.D. as openers! It was a concedrt a few years ago, Story of the Year, P.O.D., and Hoobastnak opened for my favorite band, Linkin Park. You're right, P.O.D. are great live. So are Hoobastank and Linkin Park. It was lots of fun. And very loud lol. [JashleyB]

i went to about a half a dozen concerts in my time, but they weren't the big ones like some of the people i have met,but i never really liked them much, because of the nutty people and too much hassle with going to the bathroom and partying. so i started watching them on pay per view and buying the movies. if that counts. the best 1 i saw was a movie called "THE LAST WALTZ" it was a fairwell trubute to "THE BAND" it was incredible. and a pay per view of BOB DYLANS "EMPIRE BURLESQUE" was real good too! and for me none of these bands in the lime light today are interesting, sorry. [farmboss1]

My best concert I had attended was Don Moen concert and that was also the last concert I've ever watch. I dont use to go to concert unless I'am very interested on the singer. I think Don Moen concert was the best concert I've ever watch. [anne_143god]

The absolute BEST concert ever. Was Country Fest '97 in Fort Worth TX. It included Jodie Messina, Travis Tritt, Brian White, Vince Gill, Charlie Daniels, Neil McCoy, Hank Williams Jr, and Wynona Judd just to name a few. They were all awesome performances. It was hotter than heck, my buddy and I suffered through it (we would set bags of ice on top of our head just to stay cool) only because the music kicked @**. My wife says that the best concert ever she went to was Sawyer Brown at the KS State Fair several years ago. Terri Clark was suppose to perform but had come down sick. Sawyer Brown played non stop for about 3-1/2 hours. It was hot and muggy but man the music was awesome. Its no wonder that Sawyer Brown is one of her favorite music groups. [papabear0604]

The last concert I went to was my sister-in-law's recital at Iowa State University at the caliossium. It was so fun and I enjoyed watching her play. [Lydia1901]

Im not sure you would consider it a concert as it was in a theater. It was a group of three female singers singing "Songs of the Century". Lena d'Agua (a rock star), Rita Guerra (pop/romantic singer) and Helena Viera (an operatic soprano). The selection of songs included songs in portuguese (of course), english, french, german and italian....all of the songs were world famous during the 20th century. It was great....liked it so much I bought the CD and have it on my computer as well. [gifana]

I had a friend 10yrs ago (whenI was in the 7th grade) that knew them or was friends with these guys. I had one of their first singles but ended up giving it to my neice. She still has it. For the longest time I've been trying to figure out what POD stands for! I used to know but I can't remember! Does anyone know? everytime I hear POD It bothers me for the longest because I can't remember what it stands for! [sillygirlsd]
I believe it stands for payable on death. They are a Christian band (at least they used to be, maybe not anymore?) which would explain why they would be willing to give a huge concert for free. [loved1]

The last concert I went to was just before we moved to South Carolina. We went to Fresno to see Toby Keith and Terri Clark in concert. It was a packed house and a total blast. Terri Clark is my fav and Toby is my hubs fav so was cool to have them traveling together. [shooie]

Unfortunately, I don't get out to concerts much. The last one I was at was when Elton John and Billy Joel performed together. [sharon613]

The last concert I went to see, or I was taken to see was Coldplay, they were playing at Crystal Palace in UK. My partner then treated me to tickets, not knowing that I had never heard of Coldplay! So until I went to the concert I hadn't heard a single song of there's, weird eh! It was a scorching hot day and we arrived too early! So we sat in the sun, there was no shade and I got badly burnt! I got bored and I went home early, on my own, the relationship split, so it was my worst and last concert trip. I have only been to two concerts in my life, the first was many many years ago when I saw Bucks Fizz, now that was a brilliant concert, also in the UK where they performed, brilliant and I knew every one of their songs, which is a great help! [wolfie34]

oh my gosh, my boyfriend was at that concert too. Last concert I was at was a small concert for Superchic{k} a Christian band at a local church. It was good, the band members were so nice they gave me and my b/f a free cd because we sold their merchandise for them. [rmuxagirl]

Hi The Madonna Concert in London WOW !! It was SUPERB!! She is really one great entertainer!! She was sexy, suggestive, brash, loud, foul mouthed, smooth, everything!! Just loved every minute of it! [forfein]

The last one I went was to see Pearl Jam. I don't listen a lot to PJ but the concert was great! [chanfrado]

It wasn´t the last one but it belongs to the best, i saw John Scofield in a well non pup in munich/germany that was awesome. He´s a jazz guitarist his over 50 years, in this concert he played in the tradition of 70´s jazzrock/fusion genre but with addition on modern techniques in from of loops, that was great to listen. [Lewah69]

It must have been a long time since I enjoyed attending concerts. One of my sister in law lives in San Diego, my nephew is about your age, perhaps they saw that one too. The last concert I attended was a flak rock and country performed by several bands, It was a Music Festival, I was part of the organizers and it was done in an open space park at an athletic bowl, people needs to wear their tickets while inside and they all stand and scatter at the wide field, viewing an elevated stage. That was a great show. Today I am again part of a dance Drama intertwined with Fashion Show, It will be shown on April 18,2007 here at the Philippine Cultural Center. This one is a Multi-Media Show, If you are here in the Philippines, I wish you could see that one for a change. [Perry2007]

The last concert I went to was The Dixie Chicks last year. Great show, amazing sound (instrumentation.) The best concert I went too would probably be the second time I saw Garbage live. I was on the floor in the second row, and it was absolutely mind blowing amazing. The first time I had seen them live was at a music festival, so it was a lot shorter and I was quite a far way back too. So, to be second row for quite possibly the last concert tour of my favourite band who I have adored since the 90s was pretty special. Adding into the equation of the whole making eye contact with Shirley... I just don't think I'll probably ever top that concert experience. [twistedangelwings]

last month i saw the British folk writer and singer, Billy Brag play an accustic concert live in a very small, intimate theatre in my village. Quite amazing. [ESKARENA1]

I haven't been to a whole lot of concerts. The Oak Ridge Boys were the last and the best. I have seen KISS, ARS, ZZ Top, and a few others. They were all pretty good, esp KISS. I didn't care for ZZ Top though. I just went as a favor to a friend. [lucy02]

The last concert I went to was Bon Jovi... and that was about a year ago already... a true "guilty pleasure" for me and my sister LOL We try to see them every time they're in town. [thinkingoutloud]
